At The Raj Restaurant, we tried to put the past behind us and move into the present. The Bangladeshi and Indian cuisine served here is an amalgam of old and new. The menu is a stunning repertoire of favorite Indian dishes of the last 30 years. Our 200 year old style of cooking known as the legendary Dum Pukt Indian Cuisine- was created by the Moguls. And, deemed so spectacular that until now only a handful of places in the world was able to successfully serve it.

Exceptionally tasty food! I have been searching the area for while for a good Indian restaurant and none of them have hit the mark – most serve cheap, sweet and flat food. The food from The Raj was perfect – well rounded, authentic tasting, great depth of flavour, and I didn’t come away feeling bloated or greasy like I have with others. The customer service was attentive, friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone – this will be my new regular!

Staff were very friendly and polite.
Reasonable prices, no more than I expected.
Portions are very good and filling. Food is delicious.
My wife and I ordered a Mix Curry made up of Lamb, Chicken and Prawns and a Mix Veg with two Chapattis, yum yum .
All washed down with a Cobra beer and a Pineapple juice.

Ordered our first delivery last week. Order arrived within the time frame by an impeccably dressed man who was beyond polite and well mannered. The food was delicious and great value for money. Vegetarian options were great and lots of authentic dishes.

Absolutely with out question the best takeaway I have had in a long time, the owner was extremely welcoming, order took around 20 mins , staff friendly, price was very good value and the curry was incredible! I will look forward to going

I haven’t used them for a while then tried again. We’ve just had our 5th curry and it was awful. The chicken was small and dry and the sauce was without flavour.
The other 4 times were lovely but without consistency there is no point.
Also expensive for what we had, 2 curry’s one rice and one bread and it was over £30 without even a complimentary poppadom.

First time I have been to this restaurant and I will definitely be returning. The service was outstanding, the food was the best Indian food I have ever tasted and I felt was good value. The restaurant was quiet but it beautiful inside so I recommend people to not just sit indoors and order a takeaway, get down to the restaurant itself. You will not regret it.
