The food was amazing — fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly with generous portions. You can tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients. The drinks were just as impressive, well-mixed and refreshing with a great selection to choose from. Add in the fun atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, and a clean, welcoming space, and it’s an all-around top-tier experience. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it! Taco Tuesday is great too!

Just out on another adventure, Me and my beautiful sidekick. On this day we decided to pick the rail side in Nelson Illinois. Good choice! My wife had the smothered chicken. With a cherry Bomb blonde draft beer. The chicken was delicious! I had the jumbo shrimp with beef noodle soup And baby whole potatoes. The shrimp was amazing! I would put it right there up with One of the best I’ve had. Big very big! Yummy! The potatoes weren’t too bad either.. And the beef’s noodle soup was pretty good too. Bathrooms were super clean. place was clean. service was very good, although the food did take a minute but they were busy. Great environment. So a big thank you to the railside in Nelson Illinois for making me and my wife feel welcome and cooking us a delicious meal. For those of you who read this you will have to try it if you haven’t. the railside in Nelson Illinois.

Food was ok service was prompt. Place is clean and well kept. We ordered a hot beef, a chicken sandwich and fries (which was 2 chicken strips on a bun with a chili sauce and lettuce on it), chicken strips and spaghetti, 2 cups of potato soup, 1 cup of clam chowder, 1 sprite, 1 iced tea ordered with no lemon yet had lemon on it and a water the total before tip was $49.

We have been to the Railside Bar previously and had a good meal but this time was a different story. The food took forever to get to us and when it did all of our meals were bland. Waffle fries were good though. We were told by waitresses several times that the food would be coming out but it never came out when they said. However, service staff was very friendly! The table next to us also had a problem with their order and we heard the waitress say they were under new ownership. Since they were friendly, we will try going again, maybe just wait a little until they get everything on track.

We have always loved their chicken there. But this time we were greatly disappointed. Before we left for the restaurant we checked online to see if they still had the same food available since new owners took over. We saw that they did so we hopped in the car. Again, we enjoyed a great meal, chicken and fries and chicken strips and fries. But, when we got the check it was so much more in fact about $19 more than what we saw online as far as pricing goes. I called the establishment and told them about our concern and the person there basically said too bad we raised our prices. I told them what I saw online as far as prices go. They said those prices are not good anymore then why are they still posted online. There was no offer to have the manager or owner contact us, it was basically too bad so sad. Not coming back.

It has gone down hill since new management food tastes bad and drinks seemed watered down I do not recommend this place I recommend John Taffer come rescue this bar because it’s absolutely horrible now
