We enjoyed our time at Queen’s Head. We sat at the bar and had great service and conversation. Our cocktails were perfect. My husband had the bangers and mash. I had the ham sandwich. It was good but could have been better. We will be back to try something else.

I love this little bar! Had my first Rum Runner & it was delicious. My sister brought me to all her favorite places in Cheboygan & this was one. It’s in same building as other quaint beautiful shops. Cheers!

This review is long over-due! It’s always such a treat to make the trip over to Cheboygan and go to the Queen’s Head. First, the owners are beyond friendly and welcoming—I went last year on my birthday and they gave my husband & I a personal tour of the theater, the Pig ‘N Whistle, the Stormy Kromer place (cap & ale), and Simply Marcella. The whole place is well thought out and definitely worth a visit. The staff is really good at helping you find a wine that’ll pair well with your dinner–and the food has been great each time I’ve visited. I really feel like the prices are fair. Since I was there on my birthday–and there was also another person celebrating a birthday that night, they brought us both crowns and the whole place sang Happy Birthday! It was just a wonderful experience. Thank you, Queen’s Head for taking such good care of me and making my birthday special! You know I’ll be back!

Price..lame..food..lame..the people were awesome. The atmosphere is interesting and descent, albeit wierd for the area. But i wont rag on that. Overall, the food and price is what got me. Maybe the bangers and mash isn’t the move. 20+ for some bland mashed and gravy and sausage is the 1 star. And they were out of the chicken pot pie, 1 of the 5 available dishes. And thats hyperbole, but cmon…they’ve got the theater aspect. Maybe leave the food to the chefs…

I was traveling through Cheboygan on a trip
with 6 dad aged men and we happened
upon Stormy Kromer shop, and upon entry
we noticed it was a ladies store, and almost
left, but then we noticed a little bar in there!
So we sat down and chatted. Soon we found
the labyrinth of shops with bars, an amazing
little music theatre, and then the Queens
Head through a secret book case door.
Wow. Classy. Extremely well decorated, and
the hospitality from one end to the other
was fantastic. Food was way above
expectations and overall we all left there
hours later full of great food, beer and
cocktails, and hearts full from an incredible
experience. We are all returning 5 hour drive
with our wives just to experience this place
again !!!

After three long days working in Cheboygan it’s unfortunate I did not find this place sooner as I am leaving tomorrow. Between the greeting from the owners, the amazing atmosphere and the world class food to say I was impressed is an understatement. We felt very welcome and happy as the staff and chef engaged in conversations and pointed out some favorites that were to die for. If you enjoy great company and amazing food then this place is for you. I can see the Queens Head taking the crown to be the best restaurant in the city.

We didn’t eat. Went to the Lark theater, which is inside. A great place for any show, there is no bad seat in the place. Very intimate, it only holds about 75 people. Go online, find a show, and go check it out for yourself.

Best Food & Wine in Cheboygan.
Update: Service and QUALITY continue to be unmatched in N Michigan.
This place is an experience. 2 clothing stores, 4 bars, and a theater. Ownership is hands-on and they make you feel like you’re at home.
Highly Recommended
