Great extensive menu.
Fun speciality drinks.
Great Happy Hour specials (bar only).
➡️ Pictured, lunch special; fish sandwich (cod) comes with fries and clam chowder.
Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed with the food. The service was fine, but the food was mediocre. We started off with an order of “Sweet & Spicy Calamari”. The dish was prepared with crispy tubes and tentacles with a sweet-spicy glaze. The menu states that the calamari is “tossed” in the sweet-spicy sauce, but our experience was that while the top layer of the dish was tossed in the glaze, the bottom layer was drenched in the glaze. We couldn’t finish the dish due to the heaviness of the sauce which made the rest of the calamari soggy and unappetizing.
As we weren’t looking for a big meal, my wife ordered a simple salad and I ordered a cup of clam chowder. The chowder was good, but a bit thick and on the chunky side.
It may be that our experience was not indicative of the quality of food at The Quarterdeck, I’m just not sure.
Service: they got my order wrong but they were very friendly.
