The Crinkle Cut French Fries with Cajun Seasoning were a standout. While I personally prefer a fry that is bit more crisp, the seasoning was spot-on: bold, balanced, and with just the right kick. My wife ordered the Mushroom Fry Up, and wow—she said the hand-breaded mushrooms paired with NOLA ranch and creamy horseradish sauce were addictive.
The beer selection was on point, and the service was outstanding. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and clearly proud of the place. The whole experience felt like a little slice of Bourbon Street, minus the jet lag.
Highly recommend for anyone craving soulful flavors, great tunes, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. We’ll definitely be back!
We actually came here for gumbo. We loved it. It wasn’t over spiced or under spiced. The toasty flavor from the roux was perfect. We could really taste the love. I asked, and its made in the morning “for like four hours”
Will come again. Cocktails need some work. But we came here for gumbo
Pros
– Food is excellent
– Service was great from both parties
– Music was great, (live piano on Wednesday)
Cons
– Be aware it’s like food truck type service, which I’m ok with, but others might not be…
Loved it overall will definitely be back for the food was amazing..
The atmosphere is cool and the location is great. It’s a bit small inside but has a great deck area.
The ordering system is a bit awkward. You get a drink waiter but can only get drinks from them but order your food on your phone and they text you to pick it up when it’s ready.
Ordered a couple of drinks and they were not good. Got the espresso martini and hurricane and completely just tasted alcohol and nothing else. I’m a fan of heavy pouring but it really takes away from the drinks intended experience.
When we got the text to grab our food, they were stone cold. The cooks were super nice about refiring them but again, this is day 1, everything should have been on point. After the re-fire we were able to try it and it was just okay. Having 317 burger next door, if you’re going to have burger on your menu you better make sure it’s at least as good or better, but it was not. The re-fire fries they forgot to add the add ons and it was just plain fries. Tried the po-boy and there was hardly any meat there and the flavor was just okay.
I’d love to go back and retry this place because I really want them to succeed because it’s such a great concept and location, it just needs refinement. So until then, if you have extra money to burn then come try this place out, but if you’re looking for good food this is not it.
We ate beignets that were piping out, buttery, and covered with powdered sugar just like we like them, but the best part of the night was the impromptu dancing and sing-a-longs. Joel, the pianist took requests. We sang off cue to Santa Baby; Joel wowed us with Guaraldi and several Christmas songs; we danced with strangers to Disney’s Bare Nessities, and then Joel took us to church with some black gospel. We will definitely be dropping by on the weekend again and again. Thanks TQ family for starting our holiday off with a bang! We truly enjoyed ourselves:-)
