First time there after driving past it many times. Fantastic ice cream! Had a black raspberry soft serve in a pretzel cone. It was amazing! First time will definitely not be the last time!

This place could be so much better. The Veggie basket was breaded fried veggies (onion rings, broccoli, cauliflower and mushrooms) which I usually love. These “broccoli” were bits of broccoli with gross cheese and what looked like bacon bits. I was going to tell them because I don’t think the broccoli should have been in there when it was a veggie basket. I am vegetarian and was upset about it. So in the future I would definitely ask about that, especially if vegetarian. Also, the toss salad was nasty bagged lettuce with a few slices of tomato and I asked for no cheese. That was the worst salad I ever had.

My wife and I stopped here for an ice cream on our way home. The range is impressive – we just wanted a quick ice cream but they also do a good range of fried foods.

The ice cream is always great, milkshakes are just as good. There’s even a playground for children as you wait. The downside is cash or check with id only! I have never had a negative experience here.

Great place to stop and get a quick bite to eat. They have a large menu and it can get very busy. Make sure you have cash!

We visited here from out of town. The ice cream is delicious and the prices are reasonable and the people are wonderful. If we’re ever in this area again we will definitely be visiting again!

The food at the Purple Cow was good. I got a couple of chili dogs, fries and a shake and it was good. I then got a banana split and it looked like all the heart went home early. It was incredibly unattractive to say the least. Minimal ice cream and toppings. I want to note that my request was for only caramel sauce, not the usual strawberry, pineapple and hot fudge…but still, the amount of ice cream was abysmal. If this is how the Purple Cow regularly serves it up, I’d rather go to Amy’s or Chili Willie’s, where each serve portions that are much different than this. I like to try to patronize as many different local businesses as I can to share the wealth so to speak.

I only had a Boston Shake. I didn’t know what that was and no one told me…it was embarrassing. My friend just told me to go there and order one. Whatever…I thought it was ok. It’s a bit pricey compared to other places.

We took our grandson to enjoy a fun lunch but instead we were greated with a very rude person taking orders. Then went to play on the playground out back while waiting on our order, and it is in bad condition, rotted wood, broken ropes. First and last time for everything!
