Amazing experience. Cozy and intimate. The food is spectacularly flavorful and the menu uniquely creative. I’ve never had Indian food like this anywhere in the world. It blends the north with the south to perfection. Chef Paul hand crafts each plate a few feet away from you in an open kitchen making the experience even more special. A true gem and worth repeat visits.

I’m from Dubai and here in Bristol on holiday, and one of my favourite things about travelling is hunting down those unique little places with really special food experiences. That’s exactly how we found this beautiful family-run restaurant in Brislington and what a find it was!

The food made by the chef owner was absolutely divine — gentle, beautifully balanced, and clearly made with so much love. You can truly taste the quality of the ingredients in every dish. We shared the seafood hotpot with delicately cooked prawns and mussels, paneer with sweet potato chips, crispy chilli cauliflower, fried oyster mushrooms, and the pukka fried chicken — and every single dish was outstanding and generous to a fault.

Everything felt lovingly homemade. I’d read a review where someone said they wanted to lick the plate… and honestly, I felt exactly the same.
We will be back for sure!

We had a wonderful evening here as a sizeable group. The food was all full of flavour, original and felt nutritious too. I had the mushroom starter and the seafood main- which was super fresh- and couldn’t resist the pear dessert afterwards. I had a rose and cardamom drink which was really unusual and was like drinking Turkish delight- in a good way! The service was gentle and super organised, the staff thought of things before we even had to ask! Highly recommend for some authentic, tasty and original food in Bristol. It’s worth a trip

WOW! The brunch blew us away, it’s so good that we are already planning our next time here to try their dinner menu. Very nice staff.

We got the masala chai and mango lassi- both delicious. A more spicy-type chai which I enjoyed.

For food we got the dosa, kalaki and a side of the mash potatoes. The dosa was delicious- best I’ve ever had. My partner loved the kalaki with chapati and the mash potatoes were great and a little spicy.

10/10, this place is great!

Really delicious and different – I’d never tried any of these dishes before and they were all clearly cooked with love and plated with care. Not your classic curry house but a really worthwhile restaurant experience

We had a fantastic dinner at The Pukka Peacock. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The fennel chicken and then lentils were out of this world. I had the poached pears for dessert, and it was the best poached pears ever.

The food was so good, we went back for brunch as well which did not disappoint. The kasundi slaw was so good I had to order a second portion!

The service is lovely and friendly. This is a neighborhood gem and I am only sorry I don’t live close enough to go regularly!
