Highly recommend making a reservation. It was quick to be seated but it did get busy quickly for dinner. The staff was so helpful and kind. We had a fantastic experience. The food was DELICIOUS! absolute must stop in place! Homey rustic feel. Loved everything about this place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the patio atmosphere was delightful. The service was great; even offered blankets at the start. Seems like a nice place to spend a weekend; I would definitely like to try it out for a weekend sometime.

My wife and are visiting the area for Christmas. There were no restaurants open. We spied people through the window of this establishment despite the sign clearly stating it was closed. We came in and had the most wonderful experience. The prime rib flavor and horse radish sauce flavor was amazing. The texture of the fish and chips was amazing, like nothing we’ve ever had. And the clam chowder was unreal accompanied by some of the best sourdough we’ve ever tried. Highly recommend 11/10.

Don’t be fooled by the “pub” name. The food here is high-end restaurant quality. We stayed at the Shelburne. We were hesitant thinking it would be simple pub food. But Julie, a Shelburne team member (who would be our server) said it was the best food around. And we didn’t want to drive, so we stayed.
What a smart decision! I had the steamers (local Purple Mahogany clams) and a Ceaser salad. Wife had the fish special – sablefish, served over mashed potatoes (substitute for rice) and broccolini. It was all delicious! Their wine list is varied and reasonably priced.
I highly recommend The Pub.

Stopped in on a slow weeknight as it was one of the few places left open after 8pm. Had no problem parking on the street. The inn looks nice and the restaurant is cozy and chill.

Overall the service was great but we weren’t too impressed with our burgers. They were just kind of dry and unexciting. But I did enjoy my wine and I’d probably come back some day and try something different on the menu. There’s also a pool and shuffleboard table, so it could be a fun place to stay for a few days.

The food was ok, the staff was friendly, and the ambiance was great. We had buffalo fried oysters, steak frites, fish and chips, and the sicilian martini. The buffalo fried oysters were probably the best dish we had. The steak was under seasoned and a bit overcooked. The fries were just ok. The fish in the fish and chips was great, great breading, flaky fish, and a really large sized portion. The sicilian martini was delightful.

The place is a historic landmark. We loved the atmosphere. Service was perfect! The food was okay, a bit salty and too much fried. Some vegetarian options like hummus. I recommend getting a local IPA – it was great.

I’d like to gatekeep but it’s just so great I can’t.
I’ve been here many times. It’s the coziest most romantic place for late night drinks, a nice dinner, and friendly competent waitresses. I will always take the time to visit for dinner or drinks. The building is beautiful, the windows are gorgeous, and there’s tons of character and nice touches. The menu can be hit or miss, as it is very small. We have several severe food allergies and they’ve worked with us to provide something besides a salad.
That being said, the last time I was here the veggies that came with the hummus were a bit sad and limp. Irregardless, we will return.
And the patio is dog friendly, with beautiful flowers and shaded areas. Come for the character and the ambience. Slow down and enjoy the company you bring.

Finding a breakfast place that would sit “5” was a challenge. This was the 5th place and it was definitely worth the work. We got to pick our table in the pub. Service was attentive & great – I had ordered something that was not how it was delivered but she made it right quickly. We tried multiple cocktails and breakfast dishes and you can’t go wrong with any of it. The historic nature of the surroundings was so cool. Would highly recommend if you are in the area
