I ordered takeout from here and it was really good. They offer vegan Beyond Meat options, which is great. The Thai spicy level is no joke.

It is at the corner of Melrose and poinsettia, I love the vibe here, and the food came out faster than what the waitress said, food is very tasty, and the lechee thai tea is fantastic, I will definitely come again when I am near

I finally checked out Summer Buffalo after my sister kept raving about it had to see what the hype was about! I ordered the tofu pad Thai with extra sauce and the mango sticky rice.
The pad Thai was solid the extra sauce definitely helped. The mango sticky rice was good but I wish it was juicier? Maybe a bit more of the coconut sauce could’ve made it less dry. That said, the space itself is really cute dark, cozy, with a nice ambiance. And the staff is SO sweet and welcoming. Seriously, thank you for being so kind!
Not mind-blowing, but overall a really good experience. I’d come back!

Absolute favorite Thai spot in the city! I don’t think I’ve had food this good since I was in Thailand. All of the dishes are bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned and very generous portions. The flavors are very true not Americanized, which I really appreciate. Current favorites are the pad see ew, papaya, salad, green curry, grapow gai with egg, and of course, a mango sticky rice when it’s in season! Cute spot for a casual lunch/dinner, and definitely worth getting takeout if you’re not feeling up for it

Summer Buffalo is our favorite Thai restaurant in the area and we’ve tried many. We’re pretty basic and always get the summer rolls to start followed by the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew for our mains. For dessert we often get the Mangi Sticky Rice. All of the above are delicious. The only criticism I can come up with is that I wish the tofu in the Pad See Ew was crispy.

Not gonna lie, this place is actually a great addition to the eateries at Melrose…and compared to the most places here, it’s affordable. Food is tasty, has a great variety, and they have lunch specials. Definitely would be back to try more things. Only got to try the Pad See Ew, Sweet and Tangy Wings, and the Grilled Pork Butt with a side of rice.

I have been going here for years and they never fail. It is by far my favorite Thai in Los Angeles. The prices are fair, the ingredients are fresh, and I have been so happy about their recent beyond meat additions to the menu!

The food is really good, I would say very good quality. Even the name doesn’t sell as a Thai food restaurant it has been a good decision coming in by first time and won’t be the last. The service is fast and friendly. I recommend to try the Mango & Avocado Shrimp Salad

This is a nice, small, quaint place with great service and delicious food. It’s a smaller, more intimate type of restaurant that serves Thai food. I was with my daughter and we both had the Thai Tea which was very good. We ordered egg rolls for an appetizer, then she had the Snow Crab Meat Fried Rice and I had the Garlic Chicken Noodle. We both were full after eating just half of our meals so we were able to bring the other half home. The female server was really pleasant and helpful (didn’t catch her name) but she saw my daughter looked cold as we came in from a day event and my daughter had on a short sleeve shirt but we were seated at a table by the door and there was a cool draft coming in. So the server turned on the heat in the restaurant just for my daughter. And she was sure to check on us throughout eating our meal to make sure we were good. I’d definitely return. My daughter had been here before but it had been a long time and she wasn’t sure if it was still there or where it had moved to, when we stumbled upon it.
There is 2 hour street parking nearby and a few metered spots, but must be careful as there’s also permit parking too. But the 2 hr parking is available in the permit parking area but can’t park there between 8pm and 8am. There’s also a paid parking lot behind the restaurant that I saw cost $12 (we parked on the street during the 2 hr allowance).
