On a beautiful Saturday afternoon this quaint little restaurant/bar had great entertainment- the Whiskey Poet. He gave the entire place a relaxing vibe. The cocktail menu had a good variety of cocktails- many autumn choices. For an appetizer I started with a stuffie- it was tasty but I like them crunchy on top. Then I ordered the medium-spicy buffalo wings (bone-in). They were big and moist but I wish they would have been a bit spicier-next time. The BBQ half rack of ribs were nice and smoky- they fell off the bone and the side of beans were very tasty. The only disappointment was that all the sides for the BBQ were à la carte. All in all it’s a great place for lunch.

We came as a group of six and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. One person ordered wine and they were out of what he wanted, another person ordered scallops and they were all out of that and we asked about the desserts and were told they didn’t have any of those either. It’s sort of an upscale tavern kind of place and we would come again. I’m not gonna RAVE about it, but I did like it and I would return. They also had musical trivia when we went, and that was sort of fun If you have never been, it’s worth checking out.

Man, I typically love this place but the two pizzas I ordered today were not very good. Way too salty and burnt. The barbecue chicken was terrible.

Went there for drinks and apps before the big storm. Started off with the upside down pineapple caketini, it was ok .. nothing spectacular. What WAS shocking was the price and size. I’ve never paid so much for a drink that looked more like a shot than anything else. For apps I got the tavern nachos. Someone dinning with me worded it perfectly “ those look like someone who’s never seen what nachos are made them” the taste matched. Next was the pretzel sticks, nothing memorable. I also got the stuffed quahog which I was so excited about and the most disappointed by. The stuffing was soaking wet..almost paste textured, the flavor of smoke was so overwhelming that immediately asked for the check and headed to crossroads liquor to drown my sorrows of wasted money. Most likely won’t be back. I have heard the pizza is good so who knows.

Excellent food, I had the Cajun pasta with shrimp, excellent so fresh and tasty. My husband had the meat loaf, he said he had to take home, so much food, excellent, mashed potatoes so creamy! The bartender Heidi so efficient, don’t ever let he go!

It was our first time trying this restaurant. We were not disappointed. Our drinks were wonderful. I loved the espresso martini and Tom got a peanut butter old fashioned that was great. Tom had the steak and cheese tacos and they were excellent ! The tater tots were really nice and crispy. I ordered the steak with gorgonzola demi glaze and mashed potatoes. It was probably one of the best steaks I’ve had from a restaurant in a long time. We will definitely come back. Glad to have this great restaurant close to home.

Every time we go we can’t get the ribs , it’s the only reason we to this place and they never have it. We try other things on the menu and it’s always crappy. The chicken wrap last night was soaked in water from the big pile of soggy lettuce they threw in it. Thankfully they took it off the bill . They are in desperate need of a good kitchen manager that makes sure the cook is taking pride in the plates that leave that kitchen. You’re gonna charge 17 for two little pieces of chicken and plop a bucket of soggy lettuce. Too bad cuz it’s a nice place , been three times and won’t go back

Stopped here to take out dinner. The food took forever to be ready, yet was served at room temperature. They also messed up our order. Steak in the tacos was overcooked, cheese pizza was dry, and fries were flavorless. Definitely won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend.
