We’ve been coming to prime rib for lunches and dinners for several years now and it has never disappointed, from the friendly and welcoming service to the delicious food you’re sure to have a great and pleasant meal! They get pretty busy in the evening but we always have no problem getting in promptly in the afternoon. Gillette WY born and raised and The Prime Rib remains in my top 3 resturaunts in Gillette!

Our waitress was great! Cosmopolitan not great, way way too sweet. House Cabernet Sauvignon was good. Husband’s French dip was huge & delicious. My Cesar salad was old lettuce that was brown and gross . My small fillet of beef was cooked perfectly. And it’s an absolute must to get the Raspberries with Russia Cream!! Made the whole meal! We stopped her on our way home to Iowa with full intention to get a sweet potato with me steak and just FYI they have the whole menu available all day BUT baked potatoes or sweet potatoes.

There’s a fly trap right above where they prep the food, and a smoking area right next to it. Gross!!! I would not recommend this place. Salads are prepped without gloves..baked potatoes, sweet potatoes and bread are grabbed without gloves. Cooks dont use gloves when cooking. One time the cook dropped a piece of chicken and put it back on the grill, the manager Sam did NOTHING about it when he it was brought to his attention. They have it dark in the restaurant but when its bright the floors and walls are disgusting. Uncooked fish and chicken will be in the walk in for days uncovered. When the bread is in the warmer for too long they will put it in the microwave to soften it up. I could literally go on and on. DONT GO HERE, save your money.

I ordered the New York Steak medium rare but they brought it to me bloody rare and I could not eat it, even though I tried, the manager came but did not solve anything and was not receptive to criticism. My husbands prime rib was cooked correctly but cold. The waiter who attended us Andrew was excellent and the appetizers were delicious, but I did not have a good experience.

We’ve found ourselves here quite frequently as we enjoy the food and the staff.
Jess has (unintentionally) been our server the last three or four times we’ve been in and she’s always lovely. We have no complaints that we keep ending up with her because she knows what we’re about to order.
The hosts we’ve gotten are always great. My daughter usually brings a baby doll and they always get her a menu for my daughter’s doll and some wicky sticks. It makes me toddlers experience great too.
Sometimes the chicken is very dry and the soda is very flat, which is why the food is getting 4 stars. Everything else is always wonderful!
This is something that I believe could be resolved easily so we will continue to return!

This place smells amazing as you walk up to the door. We didn’t have a reservation on a Saturday evening but only waited about 15 minutes to be seated. Service was great — our server was friendly and attentive.
For appetizers, we tried the mushrooms and calamari. The calamari had a nice light breading and was cooked well, though the strips could have been a bit thinner. The mushrooms were cheesy and flavorful.
For entrées, my wife had the walleye. She thought it was a little bland, though to be fair she prefers saltwater fish. I had the bison ribeye, which was cooked a bit more than I’d have liked, but still came out delicious.
Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and We’ll definitely be back.

Stopped in Wyoming as our halfway point to Fargo from Utah and found the *best* spot for a beautiful, romantic dinner — **The Prime Rib Restaurant & Wine Cellar**. We were seated in a quiet little nook, which was absolutely perfect.
We ordered the prime rib and couldn’t get over how delicious it was — perfectly cooked and honestly unlike any prime rib we’ve ever tasted. Our server, **Haley*, was wonderful and so attentive. And the price? Incredible for such a great meal.
If you’re ever in Gillette, you *have* to stop at The Prime Rib Restaurant & Wine Cellar. You won’t be disappointed!

Had the “house special” sirloin, 10oz, Caesar salad and garlic mash potatoes. The atmosphere is quiet and very relaxing, the steak was good, correctly made (as I wanted medium-rare).
I liked that steak because had no other spices and the flavour was very natural.
Definitely a place I recommend.

Driving through town and saw this gem..sure glad we stopped for a mid afternoon snack. French onion soup was very tasty and delicious. The appetizer prime rib fingers were absolutely divine. Very tender with thin breading and cooked perfectly, could be a meal in itself with the hearty “large” portion sized option. Stop in when in Gillette, you won’t regret it. If for dinner, you will probably need reservations.

Honestly my expectations were set aside as I hear such great things about prime rib. Especially this location due to how small the town is and how many towns they serve. Unfortunately they reached a new low. Our waitress was completely unattentive. The appetizers were meh. Especially the onion rings for as thin as they were they were a pile of grease which I tried to share my concern with our waitress and she just agreed and walked away. Way to advocate for the food your serving. Our meal was the only good thing about it and being that we knew we were not getting refills on our drinks we tried to savor those with what we did eat of our meals. Definitely did not stay to finish them there. I get better service else where within town with spending two times less. Cool. Gladly won’t spend 50$ + per the plate here.
