This place is so cute. Small but comfy. The menu makes me nervous because I wanted to order everything lol. The waitress was friendly and always checking on me. I loved everything I had there, the space, the location, the food, the service and comfort. Def will come back soon! There’s a big parking lot, lots of tables and chairs. Five stars! Best waffle in Yuma (it’s true).

Cute little bistro open for breakfast and lunch daily. We stopped for lunch and both of us ordered the Alpha Bravo sandwich. Everything is store made, including the bread. For our tastes, we prefer less bread for our sanwiches. (We ended up taking 1/2 of the sandwich home and ate it cold with just the bottom bread and liked it much better. The bread was not as overwhelming, and we could taste the brie more.)

The tomato soup was excellent (although a bit heavy on the pepper so a bit spicy). The pasta salad was excellent! We will be back for breakfast.

After hearing rave reviews we decided to check out The Press Cafe by Baja Viches for ourselves. Once we arrived we were greeted by a polite young woman.

She was very informative when we asked about to food and what she recommended. We ended up ordering the Surf n’ Turf sandwich and burrito. I ordered the Cafe con Leche which is a coffee with sweet cream.

Both the sandwich and burrito were pressed and hot. They had a chipotle sauce that gave the ribeye and shrimp a little kick. Over all the food was amazing. We also ordered some of their fresh baked cookies which were also delicious.

The restaurant was clean and decoration had a subtle flair. Over all this was a great experience and plan to come back.

You order first at the counter. Then sit down. It’s super quiet in here and can hear other peoples conversations.

Self serve area to get your own water, napkins, condiments.

I ordered The Breakfast Burrito and half an order of biscuit and gravy. The burrito has three eggs, shredded meat, avocado and cheese. They press the burrito so it has these grill marks. Gives a bit of crunchiness. The sauce is a house made spicy sauce but it wasn’t spicy to me. Good sauce though, so ask for extra.

The gravy with sausage was really good but the biscuits could have been better. It wasn’t soft or moist.

I got the Mayan freeze tea. When you get the blended ice version, it’s sweeter and they add whip cream. It has a chocolate earthy taste and 1.5mg caffeine.

Food was really good and portions generous. Felt bad for the 1 cashier who was also the server and busser. Watched 2 diff couple walk out because they waited so long to get service. We dined on a Saturday at 1130am so maybe another weekend person would be helpful esp during the lunch rush.

In town visiting a friend and he suggested this place. I’m glad he did! The dining area is quite nice, and appears to have recently been remodeled. The service was friendly and fast. The food is where this place really shines. The ingredients are fresh and the sandwiches are made with pride. Make sure to check this place out!

Sandwiches and pastries very good! My boyfriend and I split a sandwich because it was so big! Pasta salad is a must try! Nice selection of bottled drinks.
Our order: the imperial pressed sandwich with pasta salad.
4/5 stars because of the coffee. I was not fond of the espresso drink. I didn’t find it strong enough.

I got the daily sandwich, The Telegraph, along with their spicy pinto bean side. Sandwich was large and very flavorful with avocado and tortilla chips. I also got a hot dirty chai tea. The tea was milky. In total I spent $22 not including tip. Definitely recommend the food, but I would skip on the tea next time. The male behind the counter was very friendly and had great customer service.

Clearly you don’t get it. Keep putting off the fact that the food presented was not desirable and I am not here for any personal gain. I am simply a local who likes to eat good food. The fact that you keep responding speaks volumes. We can do this all day. It’s only proving my point further. Yes, I posted a picture from your online menu which you clearly have neglected to update also. Nothing you can say at this point will change the facts. Food was horrible and I provided an honest review. On a personal note, go back and read your response. Poor grammar, just as your food. Remember this is what all your future customers will see. You arguing with a customer over a $40 check. Check yourself and your pride. Better way to accomplish things. As I said before, good luck!

First impressions are everything! Wish you put as much effort as you did in your follow up review as you do your customer service and food quality. Yes I do have a culinary degree and have worked at many fine establishments. I took my friend of many years I haven’t seen in years there hoping for a great experience. Take a look at yourself and stop bashing your customers. This is a small town and you won’t get far with that mentality. Clearly you don’t even know your own menu as turkey is on the sandwich and there is no mention of pork belly. See attached photo. I have no game in this business, just a guy who knows food and customer service. This is not the place for either. Good luck!

First time visiting “The Press”. My friend and I (locals from way back) walked in and there was zero customer service. Wasn’t sure if we had to seat ourselves or what. We rang the bell they had at the counter and an associate came from the back and informed us we could order or grab a menu. I ordered the surf and turf sandwich and he ordered the “Yuman”. The food came out in a timely manner, however it was very disappointing. Both of our sandwiches had soggy bottom breads. The surf and turf sandwich had shrimp that was way over cooked, like chewing on a rubber hose. The steak was just as bad. We both had the pasta salad and it tasted like soft clay with Italian dressing on it. The turkey that was presented to my friend on his sandwich was just as disappointing. It was pure fat with almost no meat. I sent my entire plate back. The girl that was on the floor was very apologetic and had great customer service. However, I am pretty sure there was an owner or a manager there and he had zero care to come out and help. Save your money and avoid this place. I have a culinary degree and my friend is a long time business owner of a local eatery. Very disappointed.
