I have to say I love coming to the Mission Inn. It’s such a beautiful place, especially during the holidays
It was a business lunch. After a couple of drinks at the Presidential Lounge, we made our way to the Mission Square Italian Restaurant. Were I can not say enough about our servers. Gerardo,Hector, Pedro, to name a few, and their whole team made our lunch that much more special. I want to say congratulations and thank you for what you do and how you do it! We will definitely be returning !!

I really wanted to like this place because of the Mission inns connection to my memories. This lounge has nothing presidential about it other than the Very high prices on the menu.
The food is mediocre at best.
They are charging $17 for 3 super small “Tinga” taquitos that if you literally taste like fried cardboard!!
Tortilla soup is basic.
Also, staff is more interested in what you want to order than making sure you’re satisfied with what you ordered.

My visit to the Mission Inn’s Presidential Lounge was extremely underwhelming. The bar doesn’t even stock chartreuse. For the price you pay to have a martini, one would hope that a fresh chilled glass would be provided once your drink has been sitting for a while. Service was just OK. Place just isn’t that clean, lots of dusty glasses hanging from the racks. The chairs are so old and squeaky its a shame this is supposedly one of the nicer places in Riverside to get a drink.

Two whipped cream espresso martinis for $57!!!!!!!!

Very rude female barista who said verbatim “for $27 I would advise you drink the Courtyard Cookie and I’ll adjust it to *my taste”
I asked for no whipped cream – but she adjusted to her taste and so I got it despite not wanting it.
I asked to close out the check which upset her and she said to carry your own drinks lol while others were being served.

Yeah I expect the drink to be brought over for $57. And yeah the female barista forced her taste in drinks on us.
And yeah I gave her a $10 tip, more than 20% – why? Because it’s Xmas.

Are the Xmas drinks at reg presidential Lounge worth the drive and overcharged parking? Absolutely not.

Will I go again? Yes and I’ll get a different barista and insist on my choice of drinks and RETURN childish overly sweet whipped cream dessert drinks.

Mission Inn management – Do better.

What a cool place. The atmosphere was super cool, with lots of history. The waitress was extremely helpful in helping us choose places to try while we were in town. We didn’t have any food at the Presidential lounge, but the drinks were good and the service was excellent.

The 2 bartenders working at 10 pm 6/2/24 need to be re-trained that serving customers is a priority over entering receipts into the register an hour before close. For a hotel that has been in business as long as the Mission Inn, it would be nice to be greeted when seated. When a customer asks if you’re still open, a response of “yes” and then turning your back on them for 15 minutes is not up to Mission Inn’s impeccable standards of hospitality. So much for a Mai Tai nightcap. The served couple next to me even felt the need to say sorry. This was after a hotel security guard made me produce my room key to prove I was a guest while taking photos of the beautiful lights and architecture. Only the helpful receptionist made me feel welcome at the Mission Inn. Sad first impression.

Inside of The old mill Inn. Was an amazing lil Presidential lounge. It had pictures of different presidents that had visited over the years. The wife n I had lunch at one of the nice restaurants inside the hotel. The architecture is amazing! Over 100 years old hotel. But it looks great. And we tried the cupcake shop for a custom dessert. So if you are looking for a beautiful hotel to stay at , or some fine dining and you are in the riverside area. Make reservations and check them out. You will not be disappointed.

We did not have any food when we were at the presidential lounge, but we did have a couple cocktails. Of course, their mixologist are fantastic and do a great job at it.

The Mission Inn is the main attraction for the City of Riverside. So it’s no surprise that the bar would be of main event status as well. I’ve personally seen 3 celebrities at the bar, and have heard of several others being in there as well. The hotel has been the home away from home for past Presidents, Royalty, and celebrities. The annual Festival of Lights brings upward of 90,000 people to Downtown Riverside on black Friday. Must see to appreciate.
