⭐️ Bobo Poke Review ⭐️

Atmosphere 4.9 out of 5
The atmosphere is super cute and homey which I really loved. It feels warm welcoming and comfortable and I can definitely see families and children enjoying the space. The vibe alone makes it a nice place to sit and eat.

Sushi Burrito 7 out of 10
I am a sushi eater so I know what to expect when it comes to flavors and balance. The sushi burrito was okay and filling but it did not meet my expectations. It included corn and lettuce which I understand can make sense for some people but it threw the flavor off for me. It was not terrible just not something I would crave again.

Taro Milk Tea 3 out of 10
I am also a taro drinker so I know what taro tea should taste and look like. This one was (almost) brown in color and had a very unusual taste and aftertaste. It did not taste right to me and my body and instincts told me to throw it away which I did.

Overall
The atmosphere is definitely the standout here and the main reason I would still recommend checking it out. While the food and drink did not meet my personal expectations the space itself is cute welcoming and family friendly.

Wonderful place for kids and family. Boba was amazing! Plenty things to keep kids busy here while you are eating and hanging out.
They have foosball, pool , board games and dozens of boba tea options. Great prices for everything. Service was amazing . Looks like family running the business. We support locals!

Let’s start with the fact that if I could go to this place every day I would!

I’ve become a regular over the past 6-8 months, love the young women that take our orders. The chefs know us now & are very sweet and hardworking.

I love their food, their Boba fruit and milk teas are very flavorful (don’t look exactly like the online pics though)! Regardless, It’s very hard to find a Boba place that also makes good food such as Ramen, Poke bowls, sushi burritos.

Many customization options and the base price for the bowls are $11-12, gets a bit pricey to add more things if you know your way around Ramen and Poke combinations/toppings. Be sure to have $20-25 if you want a major custom bowl and custom drink.

Very good treat for payday, weekend comfort meal or any Ramen craving in the middle of the week. Worth a try, if you like this type of food!

I got the winter melon bubble tea and it was decent, not amazing. I think the large size is small for a large – not at all like other places where large is large – was more like a medium compared to other places.

Ambience was ok – some cute anime pictures on the wall. I felt the service was a bit long for a boba place and not even peak hours (Wednesday evening). Overall decent place, but nothing special.

This place is absolutely adorable and the food is fantastic. I am a picky eater but they have something for everyone. I tried a seafood Ramen bowl and it was loaded with flavor and great portion size for the price. I highly recommend you try this place if you’re in the area.

2/29/24:
Just a quick update to my first review. The only thing that kept it from being 5 stars in my original review was the rice to protein ratio…too much rice and not enough protein. The owner responded to my original review stating they would make changes. And here we are today with those changes in place! Perfect amount of protein compared to rice now. Everything else was outstanding again today.

If you want an eclectic variation of great Asian food, from sushi burritos, poke bowls, ramen bowls, rangoons, katsu, to all varieties of boba, milk tea and sesame balls, don’t skip out on this one!

2/1/24 Review Update:
Last time we were in they were out of sesame balls. They were kind enough to ask for my number and said they would call when they came in. Well here we are only a week later and they stuck true to their word. They texted as soon as they came in and we had to go try them.

Amazing. Fresh, hot, crispy on the outside with oozing sweet red bean paste on the interior.

Thank you for the personal call and making a perfect sesame ball!

1/25/24 Review:

What a fun spot with a unique set up inside for a boba/sushi/poke place. Super fun interior (see pics) with snazzy seating, foosball and even a pool table. Kids enjoyed it to the fullest.

Plenty of options for boba with many different varieties. We had 4 different flavors and they were all very tasty. First time having a sushi burrito and I loved it. Fresh, healthy and plenty of spicy tuna inside. Rice, sauces and veggies complemented the sushi very well. The salty and crispy seaweed, which acted as the tortilla, was perfect. The two poke bowls our table had were very good. The sushi itself is top notch as far as flavor and quality go. Honestly, the only thing keeping this from being a 5 star review is the amount of sushi in the bowl. The rice to sushi ratio was too high. Cut down on the rice, add more sushi and this would be a 5+ rating.

Loved the service. Friendly and helpful. I asked the cashier if they had sesame balls which is typically hard to find. He went to the head chef to ask, who then mentioned that they were out of it currently. Later, when we were all sitting down and eating already, the cashier came by our table and asked politely if he could by chance take down my number and would it be ok to call me personally when the sesame balls are in. I haven’t come across many places who would go this distance for service.

Food: 4/5 (fine tune the rice/sushi ratio in bowls and this would be a definite 5)
Ambiance: 5/5
Service: 5+/5

We were craving sushi, so my wife googled and we found this hidden gem. The food was decently priced. So we ended up ordering too much food. We had the california, Philadelphia, spicy tuna roll. 8pc roll for between 5-7$ depending on the roll. The rolls by the way was on point. Spam musubi was surprisingly large just an order of that was like a meal. We also had the teriyaki chicken. The chicken had very nice flavor. Though it was a little dry but i think it was because it was white meat. We also had the shumai it was the family favorite. Definitely ordering here again. I hear the popcorn chicken is also a customer favorite so im going to try it. Just by the pictures of it. It reminds me of a chicken spot i used to go to in queens.

Pretty good! Definitely not eye catching from the outside but give it a try- the food is good. I got a build your own poke bowl with sushi rice, salmon, grilled shrimp, edamame, mango, and cucumber. The food was surprisingly good. The poke bowl was a good size, I was definitely full after. The bowls also come with a cup of miso soup which was a nice add. The price was decent for what youre getting. They have a very large menu with lots of options. The service was pretty slow- it took a while for my to-go order to be ready which was my main complaint. They have tables to eat inside, but I would definitely recommend getting it to go.

Consistently fantastic food. The musubi is a must every time I order here. Poke is consistently great, sushi is well made, and prices are reasonable. This place is a Greensboro staple for me

Edit: How could i forget to mention the boba????? It is also consistently great. Have ordered here many times and it hits every time.
