Just passing through from out of state and decided to grab breakfast at Portage Cafe. This place has a cool open-kitchen layout! The service was great. The server & chef were very friendly & welcoming! Food was delicious!

Yummy yummy!!! My first time visiting and I’m glad I stopped! Nice atmosphere and super friendly staff. I tried one of their salads, name already forgotten, but it had chicken strips and bacon. Seriously the chicken strips were so good just amazing! The salad was delicious. Great place!

Walking in it felt like I was walking into a cool 1950s diner! I was in search of a good tasty breakfast with a warm friendly atmosphere and the Portage Cafe was a great choice! I ordered the meat lovers omelet and It was not only delicious but big! Definitely a great place for good food, relaxed fun atmosphere and friendly staff.

Stopped for breakfast with my dad. Had a spinach and feta omelet with hash browns and toast. One of the best omelets I’ve had. The spinach was fresh and the cook was perfect, hash browns were well seasoned and cooked just like I like them. Service was great. Wish we had a spot like this closer to home.

Cute downtown cafe, very clean and cozy. Staff was very engaging and friendly. Loved sitting at the counter and watching our food being made. My omelette was excellent but my husband’s biscuits and gravy order was the real winner here.

A great little breakfast spot that has a lot of verity with limited staff they pull everything together from cleaning to making the food. A nice local place with local prices. Street parking in the front or a short walk to a parking lot.

This is the greatest little gem! My wife and I were traveling from Michigan and stopped in for breakfast based on reviews. So glad we did!! The staff are amazing! The food was cooked to order and delish!!!!!! If we lived here. This would be our new hangout. I was legit taking pics of the sweet 1930s stools and our waitress and cook hugged. Such a sweet moment. The cook even took a pic of our food because we custom ordered.

Breakfast last weekend. My son had French fries and I had corned beef hash with eggs and hash browns. My son liked the fries and the cook brought them out. They were crinkle cut and they were cooked perfectly. I love corned beef hash but I shouldn’t have ordered it. I like it very crispy and I didn’t mention it when ordering. The over easy eggs were great and hash browns were crispy on top.
