While continuing my healing tour of Arizona (still sponsored by heartbreak and a playlist that could emotionally gut a grown man), I found myself in Prescott and made a stop at The Porch Coffee, a cozy little café that, honestly, might’ve just earned its honorary counseling license.

I met up with an old friend for what was originally supposed to be a simple coffee catch-up. But let’s be real: when you’re navigating the emotional aftermath of Hurricane Beau, it quickly turned into vegan pastries, caffeine, and the kind of vulnerable honesty usually reserved for a $200 therapy hour. (Sorry, Carlos. I know you’re probably wondering why I ghosted this week, but if it helps, the vegan blueberry muffin listened just as well and didn’t interrupt me once.)

And speaking of that muffin, wow. Fluffy, tender, bursting with juicy blueberries, and totally vegan without tasting like disappointment. It felt like comfort food with a conscience. The coffee itself was delicious too, smooth, rich, and soul-soothing in that way that makes you close your eyes on the first sip like you’re in a slow-motion indie film montage. And when I say the staff was kind, I mean therapy dog in human form kind. They helped me pick out the perfect drink and, without missing a beat, pointed me to the napkins when I inevitably got teary talking about Beau. It’s like they knew.

The ambiance was just as healing as the menu, sun-drenched porch seating, charming decor, and a calm, welcoming energy that practically invites you to cry in public in the healthiest way possible. It felt less like a coffee shop and more like a safe house with espresso.

I’ll definitely be back to The Porch anytime I’m in Prescott. Because some places serve coffee, and some places serve comfort, and this place, thankfully, serves both.

I’ve been coming to The Porch in Prescott for years, and it continues to be one of my absolute favorite local spots. Every time I walk in, Bethany and the staff are amazing, always welcoming, friendly, and genuinely makes you feel like family.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. And the breakfast sandwiches? Excellent every single time! Fresh, flavorful, and consistently top-notch.

If you’re looking for a great local spot with amazing people and great food, The Porch is it. Highly recommend!

Everything from the food to the coffee is high quality and tastes great. I especially enjoyed the fresh coffee; I had it iced alongside a breakfast sandwich, and it was an excellent combination. This is definitely a must-try spot. Highly recommended.

Where do I even begin with this review?! There are some places that feel like a business, and there are some places that feel like home – and the porch is the place that just feels like home. Not only are you met with a sun room full of plants and warm light, high ceilings and cozy furniture, but every person who works there stays smiling, inviting, kind, and welcoming. For the health gurus you’ll find your matcha lattes and GF/Vegan treats, for the coffee snobs you’ll be met with the richest cup of joe you can find in the tri-state area, and for those who just want to feel loved on you’ll be welcomed with an intentional group of down to earth people who genuinely just love and want to serve their community one cup at a time. The coffee is superb, the food is drool worthy, and the people are rare treasures. This is a perfect place to have a tranquil spot to work or even meet with some friends. Everyone is welcome in this space – and you know that the moment you step through the door. What a gift this coffee shop is to Prescott!!

Such a cute little place! There’s plenty of seating for groups of any size. The iced latte and iced chai are delicious, and the scones melt in your mouth. The service was great, as well. Definitely worth a visit!

A hidden gem! This place is huge! It’s much bigger than it looks from the front with a fairly big parking lot tucked away in the back.

It’s located across the street from the Sprouts supermarket on Sheldon. If you are heading south on Montezuma stay on the right lane, it’s just past the traffic light on Sheldon so slow down as it will be on your right hand side with a side entrance to their rear parking lot.

The atmosphere is quiet and laid back with lots of tables and chairs and couches and plenty of cozy nooks and crannies.

There’s a separate room to accommodate meetings.

There’s even a separate room for kids to chill out under the watchful eye of a staff member. What other coffeehouse offers that!

The place is kept clean and tidy and the rest rooms are…impeccable. A definite plus for me as well as female patrons.

When I was there I noticed that most of the customers were young women with their laptops or books and notes apparently working on some project while sipping their smoothies or lattes and munching chocolate scones.

I would not be surprised if the next best seller was written here.

The two baristas on staff at the time when I visited (Marissa & Ellie) were young, lovely, well groomed and proficient in their tasks.

The smell of the coffee and scones was deliciously intoxicating.

This is the place to come to when you need to get away from household chores for awhile and just relax or read or study curling with a nice cuppa. Five stars!

Worst experience I have had and it is very unfortunate. The coffee house is nice, the breakfast bagel was delicious but my husband did not like his drink, he ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk. He originally thought it just needed a little more oat milk so he asked for a little more. As we are leaving, he still did not like it so I told him I would go and ask for them to remake it with whole milk since he was embarrassed to go and ask. I went back inside and asked the young lady with glasses if she could remake it and I explained why, she was nice and started remaking it but then the other lady asked her what happened and then she approached me about the drink asking what was wrong. I explained to her and she basically said “he ordered it with oat milk didn’t he, that’s how he ordered it” I explained yes and the whole story again and we just went back and forth which was very uncomfortable because I have never encountered this at a coffee house.

I have so many google reviews for coffee houses because I love lattes and I have always had great experiences. This lady was rude, confrontational and condescending for something so small. I am not sure why this request really bothered her, she was visibly upset. After all the back and forth I asked, do you want me to pay for the new one? She said no. Then I said I’ll just keep the drink but she had spilled it out. At some point she said she is not obligated to remake a drink that we ordered which I at no point said she was obligated, but I never thought I would get this response. We spent $30 plus tip, I want my husband to enjoy his drink.

My drink was great, he didn’t like the oat milk you use sorry….. on top of it all she told me he needs to ask when ordering at different coffee houses the brand before ordering….wow.

This is an amazing place! Truly amazing! I got me a breakfast sandwich with a coffee to start my morning. During that time I was greeted by an amazing staff and well taken care of. Spent my morning there reading and enjoying the local Prescott scenery. Later after hanging around I got the opportunity to meet the owner and gotta say Jesse is an amazing soul! Every time I come out to the city I will for sure be coming here
