The Pompano is back. Mid-County’s favorite gathering place and events venue is re-opening, better than ever before. Ed Hughes bought the Pompano Club in 1978. The private dining club became a local favorite over 40 years. And ever since it closed, the people of Southeast Texas have been clamoring for its return. We’re very excited about what the future holds, and we look forward to seeing you here again. We’re already booking events, so book yours now.

This is the third visit and every time has been consistently delicious. We are usually a part of 10+. Today we were 16 and we had absolutely perfect service! Jackie deserves 100/100 for how well she managed our group. No one at any point was left waiting for anything. We threw several requests at her and she never once showed any sign of frustration. Absolutely a most pleasant experience.

You have to be very careful with your menu picks. My whole family has been there multiple times and some dishes are just really bad.
My Spinach and Feta Frittata had so much balsamic on it I literally couldn’t taste anything else except the 3 tomatoes they put in.
My father’s fish was undercooked in the thicker portions.
My brothers beef tips were good to me, but some other people found the worcheschier sauce to be overpowering.
My sister got the shrimp etiffoue I believe it was. I didn’t get to try it but they said that it was the best item on the menu.
Multiple of us had bad tasting drinks and had to get them replaced because the syrup in their machine went out.
The only real reason im giving three stars is because the bread was FANTASTIC. The variety of buns, croutons, and crackers were extremely good. Plus their condiments made it delicious.

Great place for food, atmosphere, and drinks.
Coming to this place has that nice relax chill atmosphere. Always interesting people coming here. Sitting at the bar sparkling up conversations and having the drinks which are very good. Staff here know how to make drinks and kitchen staff always on point with the meals. I come to this place to unwind and relax. Anyone looking to come here will not be disappointed also during the summer’s they have a pool you can swim at. Very chic.

We decided to make reservations at the Pompano located in Port Neches Tx to have a romantic Valentine’s dinner with my wonderful husband. We arrived around 4pm. The place is absolutely gorgeous. It’s very elegant and spacious. The tables we’re beautifully decorated with roses. We decided to sit at the bar for a while since we had arrived little early. The bar was fully stocked and the bartender was really nice and knowledge about the selection of liquor on hand. We finally decided too head to our table so we look over the special Valentine’s menu. For starters we began our meal with the Kung Fu Ribs which were absolutely delicious.For our entrees my husband ordered the 14oz Prime Ribeye with the Caesar Salad, Twice Baked Potato. I decided to try the 8oz Fresh caught Seabass, with the Wedge Salad and the twice baked potato. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned very well. Great night, great good. If you’re in the area check out Pompano restaurant in Port Neches Texas. You wont be disappointed.

I had the 16oz dry aged ribeye and the smoked sausage risotto. The Steak was cooked perfect. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass with vegetable skewers.
We had the banana pudding and key lime pie for dessert. We will be going back to try other things off the menu.

Food is either extremely salty that you can’t eat it or has zero flavor. We have come here for years and it’s progressively got worse. However, the cheesecake is amazing and the bar staff is always awesome. So if you want a drink and dessert, it’s perfect
