Delicious tapas style restaurant. Honestly the best tapas dishes we have had across the Midwest. Service was also exceptional. Atmosphere could have been better. The inside is dark and loud, and the outside was littered with these mosquito / sweat bee bugs called “midges” that kept pestering us throughout our meal. But besides that, the food and service were the best we’ve ever had.

The Pompadour is hands-down one of the best restaurants in the northeast Ohio area. The short rib ravioli with the warmed peaches is unlike anything I’ve ever had. The last time we were here a couple from Mexico said they’ve been all over the world and exclaimed how the smoked octopus was the best they’ve ever had. The staff is great and dedicated to making your experience special. It’sa small intimate place so you may get to know your neighbors, but we’ve had great conversations with people near us. Just such a special place.

What an absolutely wonderful experience. My only complaint is that it’s an hour drive from us (or maybe that’s saving me money!!) The food blew us away it was so tasty, as were the cocktails. The service? Top notch. Will definitely go back!!

This is the second time I visit this place. The first thing when you arrive at the place is that it has a coastal small town appearance. The place is a small but very cozy. The servers are very welcoming and the menu is appropriate for the size of the restaurant. Don’t be fool by the small restaurant by because the menu portrays a combination of flavors and contrast that will give a Michelin star restaurant a run for its money. The cocktail menu is really special. It has a variety of drinks that can be compared to the best bars in the nation. I started with a cocktail called pimps cup number one which was refreshing it opened my pallet for the food to be served and it was amazingly balanced. The food items were large enough to share but if you have a good appetite plan to order several items. Also if you don’t like spicy food there are some items that should be avoided even though the spice level on those plates, to my taste, were well-balanced. All in all this is a hidden Jewel in Ohio and should be explored. You must be aware of the fact that the restaurant is very small and reservations are highly recommended.

We went there last night after the reggae concert in Fairport Harbor. A friend told us about this place and we were able to get two seats at the bar. The place is small and gets very busy. They have small food plates and creative delicious drinks. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Food was very good. We tried several things and mussels were my favorite. My husband enjoyed the pork belly. Note, the plates are small and this place is a bit pricey but it is a good experience. We were full we had five entrées and two drinks.

The only word that comes to mind to describe our meal was “WOW”. Food was amazing. My wife and I had 7 plates total and I had not one complaint. The experience was unreal. What a hidden gem. Cocktails were great as well. The server was very knowledgable and fantastic. We ordered everything we wanted to try at once and she brought out what pairings went well together.

We had the best night at The Pompadour! Our server, Kelly, was amazing and the whole staff was wonderful too – someone was always checking in on us and refilling water or clearing our plates. We ordered 5 small plates and it was plenty of food for the 2 of us! The small plates were wonderful and so creative! The drinks are on par with those at Velvet Tango Room! Thank you for an awesome experience! We can’t wait to come back!!

Loved everything about this restaurant. It is a small plates concept so you can try a number of different dishes. We went with 2-3 per person and shared everything. All the food was delicious and very flavorful. Many combinations that I have never thought of that worked great. Cocktails were also good. Service was very nice and food came reasonably quick. There is a bar inside and about 5 tables and a patio outside with about 4 tables. There is parking in the back and on the street. Favorite dishes when we went was the dates and pork belly. Will definitely be back.
