The Point was one of the most special experiences of my trip — a must-stop. I came here for my birthday dinner as a solo traveler, and everything about it was amazing. Getting there is easy — you just take a quick water taxi from Puerto Ayora. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, relaxed, and such great vibes.
The staff was incredible, attentive, personable, funny, and so helpful. Since it was my birthday, I asked for a seat by the water to watch the animals and sunset, and it was perfect. They even had a “Happy Birthday” sign on my table which was such a sweet touch. The drinks were incredible. I ordered the tuna tartare (fresh and perfectly flavored), plus the yuca bread with manchego cheese and fig butter — unreal, SO good. For dessert I got churros, and they brought it out with a candle and wished me happy birthday, which honestly made the night feel so special (especially as a solo traveler).
And I saw rays, sharks, sea lions, and turtles swimming right near the restaurant. It was one of the coolest dining experiences I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

My wife and I were completely blown away by our experience at The Point. The atmosphere was amazing, we were lucky to get a seat right in the water but the entire restaurant was a great vibe. The food was exceptional, best bites we’ve had on the island, and the service was excellent. Fernanda took great care of us. What a fantastic experience. Just must visit restaurant. The food was fantastic – all dishes we tried. Everything is super fresh and delicious. Also, good spot to check out sea wild life. To get to the restaurant you will need to hire a water taxi for $1 per person. Short ride – only takes 5-7 minutes to get there. Overall great experience.

I went here during the Christmas season and I do recommend booking ahead of time during busy times. I was able to book through WhatsApp and they were able to fit me in and the food and atmosphere was perfect. You can watch seals and sharks in the water below and I came at around sunset and watched the sky slowly change while eating amazing food. Great service and staff!

Truly lovely. We both enjoyed a glass of sangria and had a memorable view of golden rays swimming just below our table. I ordered the catch of the day and it was phenomenal. The osso bucco was excellent as well. This is definitely a great spot to visit. The restaurant also helped us get a water taxi to leave.

Delicious food, excellent atmosphere and great service! You get here by paying one dollar on the boat taxi and the experience is magical. We saw sharks and stingrays swimming by in the illuminated ocean after sunset. It’s worth walking around when waiting for food since they have a beautiful garden area in addition to the waterfront.

Amazing evening atmosphere to sit under the patio lights by the water watching the boats and animals swim right by your table. Need to take a $1 water taxi but takes only 5 minutes. Very delicious food especially the Yuca ball appetizer!
