The Plate & Pint on Bainbridge Island is proof that happiness can be served on a plate… and poured into a glass during happy hour.

First of all, Sarah (or Sara — spelled however you spell “legend”) behind the bar is an absolute gem. Friendly, sharp, remembers your drink, and somehow manages to make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time. The kind of bartender who could calm a ferry delay meltdown with a single pour.

Now let’s talk happy hour, because as someone living on a fixed income (aka I’ve made peace with budgeting but still enjoy joy), this place understands the assignment. The deals are legit. Not “$1 off something you didn’t want anyway,” but actual, honest-to-goodness this-feels-illegal pricing. I checked my receipt twice just to make sure I didn’t accidentally wander into 2014.

My husband and I came here to celebrate his birthday. What a great lunch we had!

I got the second best Eggs Benedict I’ve ever eaten. (They got beat out by the Court of Two Sisters in New Orleans, so they’re not doing badly at all!) I chose the ones with Dungeness crab. The servings of crab were generous, and the Hollandaise sauce was just right. No one asked how I liked my eggs. One was cooked just the way I liked, and one was more runny than I prefer, but I really didn’t mind. It just tasted SO good.

My husband had a HUGE meal of fish and chips–so much he took half home. He loved his food too.

Our servers were great. The atmosphere reads English pub without being too over-the-top.

What a memorable night! The Seahawks won the Super Bowl and we won a big screen TV! We had a great time for sure but that’s par for the course at the plate and punt, (winnings aside). Our family always has a great time and great food when we dine there!

Everything we was delicious! Sweet potato fries, crispy duck salad, pork scratchings (aka fried pork rinds), chicken wings with dry ribs. Even the kids chicken tenders were very good.
The service was indeed slow, but that seems to be more of a staffing problem. Definitely need to come back again.

Pretty good food. I feel it is a place one can count on being good everytime. One of the items on the menu listed it came with a smaller beer, but they were out and wouldn’t sub for a schooner. Oh well. Crappy parking tho.

Our meal at Pint and Plate was the best on the island!!! The staff were awesome to work with, all smiles. And they went out of there way to get us a table during the playoffs…poor planning on our end since we were not there to watch the game…but they were great at getting us a place. And the food was top notch!! Next trip to the island we will definitely return.

What a family friendly restaurant. One half of the restaurant is a sports bar for those who want to watch the game on the big screen and enjoy the bar scene, the other side is a family friendly restaurant. Everyone in our group loved this place. And, if you want to eat outside you can; you just can’t see the game on the big screen. The service was great, very attentive and friendly. The food was just as good, if not better than the great service we received.

A nice, casual setting with great service. Katie was my server and she gave wonderful recommendations. The happy hour menu here is pretty big and she helped select the slider and jalapeño poppers. I love poppers, but THESE are the best ones I have ever had, hands down. The slider was great too. I recommend the Bainbridge IPA for those who like a lighter IPA.
Great outdoor seating and dog friendly. Definitely go here if you’re looking for a low key vibe on Bainbridge!

So I came here with my girlfriend and mother in law. I had the Dry rub Jamaican Jerk wings, they are absolutely incredible! The rub has a slight kick and is seasoned well, with the chicken nice and juicy on the inside!! I approve!!

Loved the vibe. Staff was great, and the food was perfection. The sweet potato fries were the best I’ve ever had! I almost didn’t make it to my BLT because I couldn’t stop with the fries. The BLT was good, could have used more bacon though. It’s a great problem to have, but the veggies were SO fresh and crunchy that it took away from the normally strong bacon experience. The Ystrzemski cocktail was also delightful.
