Classic diner in the heart of lovely Lakewood. The service is great from the ladies working there. The omelets were excellent and large and in-charge.

Been going for many years. Always good food but will not be returning as prices have gotten way out of control. Used to be affordable and convenient, sad to say no longer. Another casualty of the times. There is never any reason to charge 45$ for breakfast for two. So long Place to be !

Great diner with a really kind staff. Cash only, there is an ATM if you don’t carry any with yourself. The food arrived super fast and it was delicious. Will totally come back.

Food was pretty good but not a very big portion. The place was full so you felt really cramed in. Had to sit at a bar elbow to elbow with strangers which I didn’t like too much

Old school family run restaurant, the kind you don’t see a lot of anymore. No plastic here, this place is cash only but you do get a wholesome, delicious meal for your (relatively) little cash. Service is quick and no-nonsense with attention to detail. Don’t be surprised to find the place packed, especially on weekends, the regulars have been coming here for a long time.

This place was absolutely amazing. Their employees were super attentive, never once was our coffee or water empty. Our food came quick and it was delicious. I absolutely recommend this small business.

This was mine and my fiancée’s first time over here (the gyro sign in the front window caught her eye) and wow was this a great breakfast spot! The food was nothing short of fantastic and everyone was so friendly. Fay was the sweetest waitress and was so kind to both of us. She took some extra time to go through the menu and really make us feel welcome. We would highly recommend The Place to Be, this was such a great find after church and we will definitely be back, thank you again!!

We had a very good breakfast experience here. All the food tastes fresh and great plus the coffee was good too. The food was out in less than 5 minutes.

I didn’t expect to pay $25 including tip to a small cash-only diner for a sausage, bacon, egg and toast breakfast. If you like your hashbrowns flavorless, eggs extra runny, your bacon floppy and your sausage links and coffee cold, well have I got the place for you! Seriously, I do feel bad writing such a harsh review, but I have never felt so underwhelmed and overcharged. Maybe the cook was just having a bad day, but I won’t go back to find out. My wallet can’t take the chance.
