I was skeptical as my initial impression was that they were trying to be too trendy and I expected pretentiousness. I have to admit, the food was excellent and the staff was really helpful. I had some of the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had (it comes with a whole half chicken!) And my wife’s omelette was terrific, too. The coffees were good even if they were a little messy to drink. They come with a complimentary rubber duck so, messiness forgiven.

There’s no alcohol in the alcoholic drinks, so be prepared to order shots. On a not too busy rainy Sunday, it took a LONG time to get food. Sitting at the low couch and table area made it difficult to eat because they’re so low. The atmosphere was cute and relaxed. We had to send orders back upwards of 3 times for things like undercooked bacon, meat on a vegan order, cold fries, undercooked burgers and missing items. The food was tasty. I’d try them again.

The idea and atmosphere is cute but the execution needs work. My chicken and waffles were just frozen tenders heated up. I got my food before my husband and we ended up cancelling his order because we had to get to the airport. Our food came 45 minutes after we ordered. Our black coffee came sprinkled with powdered sugar and drenched in syrup. I would not recommend this place.

Super cute restaurant. Great staff and good food. Esthetically pleasing for great photos! Staff enthusiastically sang my sister happy birthday. I love that everyone had their own tab and paid from their phone. No splitting the check.

The Place 2 Be is without a doubt the gem of East Hartford. A short walk from our hotel, we went over in search of strong coffee and good food- P2B offered both. The beautiful decor added to our experience. The coffee was brewed to perfection- and if you want- you can always spike your beverages. We ordered a breakfast sandwich and the southern quesadilla with a side of curly fries. The presentation of the food was lovely but more importantly it was was flavorful and delicious.

I went to TB2B with a party of 4 and was immediately greeted and treated so kindly but the staff. We enjoyed the most delicious breakfast. The presentation was so cool and the food came quick! My little sister loved the rubber ducks in all the drinks! We really enjoyed the experience as a whole! The manager came and made sure our food was good and we had everything we needed! They were extremely accommodating of my celiac requirements! Everything was super clean and there are so many different types of tables to sit at depending on what kind of vibe you and ur party are feeling! We really enjoyed reading the names of all the drinks on the menu and can’t wait to go back and try them all! 10/10 best restaurant with the best staff! Great experience for all ages!

The food was amazing and came out as soon as it was cooked by one of the chefs! So many fun drinks and guilty pleasure foods. The manager and Moe, our waitress were so sweet and helpful an absolute delight! Will definitely go back and try their other locations too!
