This cute rustic pizzeria nestled in between boutiques in downtown Augusta, is not only delicious but also affordable. Our server was prompt and attentive. Everything we ordered, from the salad to the pizza to the calzone, came out fantastic. I highly recommend the Detroit style pizza!

Nice location, though parking at night or during busier events can be an issue. Thier pizza isn’t bad, but not as good as it once was IMHO. The ingredients don’t seem as fresh as they used to be, pizza is still great compared to the larger pizza chains. Location is dark and the seating a little tight. Would not recommend the deep dish over thier standard pizza. Good selection of beers and spirits and normally a fairly competent bartender working.

If you’ve never had Detroit style pizza before, even if you’re skeptical PLEASE give this a try because oh my god, it is so good. First time trying Detroit style and this was incredible.

Great food! Ordered a calzone with pepperoni. The calzone was fantastic! The marinara dipping sauce was a little lacking. It had a great taste, but was very watery so it would not stay on the calzone when dipping. Nice atmosphere and our server was friendly and punctual.

Always wonderful when I come here! Will give you samples of the beers to taste wings are baked to perfection and pizza always delicious service always lovely and with a smile! Friendly and will answer any questions you have. Also the ranch dressing is amazing you can tell they make theirs fresh on site!

Enjoyed eating at the Pizza Joint. Friendly atmosphere and waitress. Stayed on top of making sure we were taken care of and our drinks stayed full. My kids had pizza, and it was cooked great. Crispy and flavorful with a slight char. I had their jumbo chicken wings, and they were actually jumbo. The sauce was amazing as well. Overall, we had a great experience and will be back.

Horrible service. Waited for an hour for our pizza and chicken wings. When asked the waitress why taking so long for our order she said “We have party of 15” so what is that mean? That makes everyone need to wait an hour for their food? Place was only about quarter full. Then the waitress said our pizza order never went in but said that is not her fault. She blamed the cooks while She hasn’t checked up on our order while we waited for an hour then when I expressed frustration she ran her mouth and was not apologetic at all. I asked for her name, she said don’t worry about my name. The manager had to tell her to stop talking and step away. We ended up leaving the place disgusted. Never again. I would give zero star but had to give one minimum per google review requirements.

Very nasty! The slice of pizza for $3.75 was not covered with cheese all the way. The calzone omg forget about it was so soggy! Definitely not a calzone! The garlic knots where so thick in bread! I was just eating flavored bread at that point! Just horrible experience! Never again

Fridays are pizza night even when we are out of town so while in town we ordered from The Pizza Joint. We love the variety! Both the Detroit Style and the regular pizzas were so tasty!
