The food was delicious, the ambiance was super cozy and inviting, and the view from the back deck was calming.
The pizza dough is made in-house as well as all of the pasta and pizza sauces. I highly recommend trying the garlic knots with a side of marinara sauce. So good!
Holiday hours are short (see picture), so make sure they are open before making a trip out. Summer hours are 11-8 PM (Tuesday through Saturday).
Some notes:
They reopened just a couple days ago so their website is just a landing page. For current info see their Facebook page, but note the menu may be smaller than the actual menu when you visit.
Inside seating has plexiglass shields between tables. There is an outside patio with tables and sun umbrellas as well as deck seating.
Some of the ‘general store’ feeling has been retained and refreshed but this isn’t the reason we go here – it’s for the food! (Still no beer though.)
The posted hours on Google Maps are likely wrong so call before you go.
Even though the address is Lenoir, it’s a medium effort drive to get there. That said, if you’re visiting in Leatherwood, Powderhorn Mtn, Blue Ridge Mtn Club or Rider’s Roost, it’s really convenient. There are a ton of fishing spots in the area so when you get tired of fishing, hiking or riding, check this place out.

From my 2019 review: The merchantile part of this location is only a memory and just what hasn’t been sold over the past two years. The pictures don’t reflect the current state.
That said, the food is good overall and the pizza is probably the best part of the menu. It’s a really great option vs driving into Lenoir or Boone if your staying in the area.
