It’s a new ownership and their pizza is nothing compared to what it used to be. Bummer, as despite being a hole in the wall, the pizza used to be delicious. The guys who served me were great but the pizza was frankly not good (at least to my liking). I should say that there was a generous portion of topping. Maybe some people like it, but not me.

I really wanted to love it. The service was great, very friendly. The pizza, the wings, the knots, all tasted terrible. The dough was so soggy, everything was burnt, and it all had a nasty after-taste. I’m not sure what the aftertaste is, but maybe it’s their oven or something that’s not clean. And the knots didn’t taste like anything, no garlic and no cheese. Just soggy dough that was burnt on the bottom. Im disappointed I spent my money here. I was really hoping that we can start coming here more often. I’m hoping they figure out whatever is going on, close, and reopen with a better approach. And of course, there’s nowhere to sit. It is just a pick-up and go place, but they could try to clean it a bit and knock off all the dust off the ceiling and around.

A small place at the Corner! Expected it to be a little larger but was sufficient enough for a small group of friends to dine-in! Huge slices available as well as Personal Pizzas. The garlic rolls were decent. The Pizza was super freshly prepared! The staff was friendly!
PS – They have Arcade Video Games for Fun!!! 🙂

it’s not the dragon lady’s pizza, but i would still eat here for lunch.

this restaurant has resisted inflation. the prices haven’t changed in the 5 years since they changed ownership. or maybe their prices were already anticipating inflation and the rest of the world finally caught up.

a $7 jumbo cheese slice from the pizza box is actually a pretty strong value proposition now. there’s an $8 daily deal that looks good, though it limits your options to the specialty slice of the day. their full pizza prices are about in line with other non-franchise and non-warehouse pizza places.

the sauce is more robust than i remember, though they use a bit too much of it and you have to watch out for topping slide.

the pizza is now edge-to-edge with barely any crust. the dough is less airy and more like a flatbread, almost like the bakers are pressing the dough flat and removing bubbles. it’s not how i like pizza but i could see certain people preferring this style.

there are some tables and stools but it looks like they are doing away with dine in entirely and using the space for storage. pizza slices thankfully come in takeout boxes and not in paper bags (the one part of new york pizza that should not be copied)

Great pizza, but hands down the garlic knots are a must!! Went to the pre opening when they gave out free pizza and it was just as good as before if not better

Worst pizza ever. I wish I can give 0stars. I got it for my daughter’s birthday party wanting to give business to a local restaurant. The dough was so gooey and chewy and not cooked – kids didn’t want to eat the cheese pizza you can imagine how bad it was. The hostess at the desk who took the order was so rude and unpleasant. Never ever going there again! Ruined my daughter’s bday party.

This is my go to place when you have a party and want to feed a crowd. These pizzas are HUGE and are resonably priced. Sizes are from small to Uncle Sam (biggest – barely squeeze thru the door with the box) Delicious pizza! Took off one star for the decor of the place, looks the same inside like it did when I was going to Milpitas High back in 1989!

2/2/19 Went to Pizza Box tonight and saw this! I guess they’re under new management and remodeling. I sure hope the pizza tastes the same when they reopen. And if the little Asian lady is gone, happy retirement and thanks for all the years of delicious pizza.

I visited this place years ago and the pizza was amazing. There was a lady that owned it then. She could be mean but her pizza was amazing! I’m from out of state and I happened to be in town and ordered with intentions on getting the same great pizza. When I got to my destination and opened it, IT WAS AWFUL! The pizza was burnt to the point that I didn’t wven know what was on it. It looked like bugs were cooked on it. The wings had a good flavor but they were burnt as well! I took a pic and sent it to my sister who was grossed out as well. She turned me on to this place when she lived in the San Jose area. Needless to say, I threw the whole pizza away and went to Pizz’a Chicago which I should’ve gone to in the first place. I will be writing a yelp and google review. The staff were friendly though.

I’ve been wanting pizza lately and some fam mentioned they used to go here in the 80s. I went to check it out and ended up getting two slices. One Pepperoni and the other was a Hawaiian. Both were pretty good. Not too soft or crunchy but the perfect in-between. You get a bang for your buck here because these slices aren’t your average size slice and the price is good. The atmosphere here looks like you found a time machine and took it back to the 80s with an arcade game and an added flat-screen.
