Entrance is in the back. It’s only carry out, tiny back area. Wish I had known, would have rather picked a place I could eat the food at instead. Oh well.
Small attached parking lot. Maybe best to wait in the car, it’s quite cold in the small back area.
I recall seeing this food truck somewhere.
Order via the kiosk just inside.
Ordered a chicken shawarma salad, shug hot sauce, side of hummus, side of pickled chili, falafel balls, side of cauliflower. $39.47
No receipt, text or email only via the kiosk order and payment method.
The greens, mostly the red leaves are soggy and wilted. The pickled red cabbage is decent. The shawarma is so-so. The chicken shawarma salad is average. Chicken and overall salad ingredients are rather salty.
The cauliflower dish is underwhelming. Big pieces of flower, not super flavorful.
The pickled chili is okay.
The side of hummus is very small, barely worth getting it, not enough for much.
Falafel isn’t bad with the tahini.

Can’t speak for other things on the menu, but the chicken shawarma (sub creamy garlic) is nothing special. The steak fries are also not the ideal thickness for a carryout order and get soggy right away. Finally, you get more food at PitaWay for $20, and unfortunately it’s much better. I really wanted to like this small business over that chain, but that’s far from the case.

This place is amazing! Right down to the fancy carryout bag they give you! Wow I’m so blown away that I’m ordering another salad so my wife can try it. Other Carryout/food truck places take note these guys are doing it right!

I’ve traveled through Europe and tasted schnitzel in Germany, Poland, and beyond and honestly, Pita Post serves one of the best schnitzels I’ve ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and seasoned just right. It’s the kind of dish that stops you mid-bite because it’s that good.
The rest of the menu is just as impressive, but the schnitzel is where I landed. The staff is friendly, the vibe is chill, and the food is clearly made with care.
If you’re craving something bold, authentic, and satisfying, Pita Post absolutely delivers.

I have been wanting to try this place since it opened. I finally took the opportunity today to do so. I am eating a chicken Shawarma rice bowl and it is miraculous. I only gave it four stars for atmosphere. But it’s not a sitdown place and they make that very evident when you walk in. I would say maybe they could add a plant or something it’s got an industrial vibe. And though the rice bowl was nearly 20 bucks I could get two meals out of this easily maybe even three. I will definitely be coming here probably every single week for the rest of my life.

I came here one day randomly for lunch one day and i’m so glad I did. Not only is the service amazing but their crispy chicken shnitzel pita is one of the best things i’ve ever had. I live a bit far but anytime i’m in the area I stop by for it because I crave it all the time. Highly recommend!

Wow…BEST pita EVER!!! As Royal Oak residents who shop at the nearby Meijer almost daily, not sure why we JUST discovered this GEM last week, but, we’re so glad we did! The Chicken Schnitzel pita is AMAZING! The mild spicy chicken patty is HIGH QUALITY, FRESH, and ever so CRISPY, while being MOIST and succulent on the inside. Moreover, the freshness of the sweet creamy red cabbage, coupled with the finely diced cucumber and tomato garnish, which is topped-off with their palette-pleasing HOMEMADE ranch and honey mustard dressings, puts THIS pita in a class second to none! And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention THE PITA ITSELF is the MOST DELICIOUS TASTING PITA WE’VE EVER HAD! Online ordering is so simple, and the “icing on the cake” is the STELLAR, UNIQUE BOX the pita sandwiches are packed in. Additionally, their COLORFUL, EXCLUSIVE, and UNIQUE INSULATED carryout bags for each order shows this “Michelin Star” level [figuratively] chef & marketing team of a carryout business has put more thought and culinary genius into their products and brand than the majority of casual dine-in restaurants in the tri-county metroplex! Lastly, please believe the prices are truly commiserate with the high quality sandwiches. Trust and believe, their half-pita concept is extremely satiating and more “filling” than your standard/average whole pita sandwich sold ANYWHERE else! Remember dining 101: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!

Easily one off the BEST shawarma I’ve had in my life — hands down. Everything was packed perfectly, fresh, and full of flavor. You can tell they put care into every detail, from the way they wrap the food to the way it tastes. Honestly, five stars aren’t enough for how good this place is. If you’re craving real, quality shawarma, this is the spot. Deserves more than 5 stars!
