We stopped by after seeing the great reviews.. we were not impressed… My “pulled” Chicken was cubed chicken & was very wet and has a unique texture. The Mac and cheese was not great either. I will say the baked beans were really good though.
The gentleman at the counter was super nice and it’s a cute little spot though. Service was quick. But with tip it was almost $20.

Quaint little restaurant in the historic downtown area. Food is fresh; delicious and hot of the smoker. Southern sides are delicious with my favorite being the macaroni and cheese and the potato salad. Pulled pork nachos are always hit with the grands.
Josh and staff are very friendly and accommodating. In house made lemonade is delicious and refreshing.

Amazing! Randomly stopped in to pick up lunch. Without a doubt the best smoked chicken we’ve ever eaten. We also had the pork and ribs which were also delicious. Highly recommend. Staff and owner were super nice and helpful

Disappointed with the Food, but Service Was Great
We recently visited The Pit Stop BBQ for the first time and, unfortunately, were not impressed with the food. I ordered the ribs with two sides, one of which was mac and cheese. The ribs were tough, dry, and didn’t fall off the bone like well-cooked ribs should. The portion was also surprisingly small—just three bones with very little meat.
The mac and cheese was another disappointment. After just a few small bites, it had a strange aftertaste that made it inedible. For $16, the quality and portion size simply didn’t justify the price.
On a positive note, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service itself was great. It’s unfortunate the food didn’t live up to the same standard. We really wanted to like this place, but based on this experience, we’re not likely to return.

So sad I only discovered this place right as I’m about to move. Everything here is amazing and seasoned to perfection. Best potato salad I’ve ever had and my family says the same. Really good comfort food for a VERY good price! Wish I could give 100 stars. Atmosphere is cozy and the customer service is great, and he said he delivers.

Nice little BBQ Shack that was super clean inside. Pulled pork had a nice balance of flavors and was nice and tender. The chicken was so good I could have eaten a whole plate straight out of the smoker with nothing on it, moist and tender like it should be.
