We stopped in out of pure curiosity to see what wmass had to offer for local BBQ. We love traveling around and checking out different spots to compare them with other local favorites.
Just the night before, we had eaten at Tuckaway Tavern in NH and honestly thought that was the bomb but this pit stop completely blew it out of the water.
The smoked chicken was cooked to absolute perfection. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone with not a bite left behind. Both versions of the mac and cheese were incredible in their own ways. And what truly stood out was the collard greens, they nailed them perfectly.
We ordered a ton of food and somehow managed to eat every bit of it. It was impossible not to.

Thank you! for a small business, this easily tops many of the bigger BBQ spots we’ve been to.

Stopped here on a BBQ tour of Western Mass. Ribs were chewy but had a good flavor. Brisket was average. Pulled pork was very fatty. Mac/cheese tasted like Velveeta, and the corn bread was cakelike. Not the worst spot of the day but also not the best.

The Pit Stop BBQ is a must-visit for barbecue lovers, serving smoky, tender meats with bold, savory flavors. Sides like baked beans, coleslaw, and cornbread complement every meal perfectly. Staff are friendly, attentive, and create a welcoming, casual atmosphere. Generous portions, reasonable prices, and consistently delicious food make it a reliable spot for satisfying, hearty barbecue meals with family and friends.

Stopped in for the first time. The pulled pork sandwich was fabulous. Really full of flavor and a very generous portion. It’s refreshing to have a new spot in town capable of making good food. I hope more people stop in and try the bbq. I will definitely return!

We ordered catering for a student leadership luncheon and the food was delicious! Pulled pork, rolls, beans, coleslaw, and potato salad. The rolls were enormous, which was awesome, because these teens can EAT! They gave us plenty of pulled pork and four different sauces so people got to choose whether they wanted golden, hickory, Smokey, or honey BBQ. Also, the potato salad was a big hit. I highly recommend this for catering parties and luncheons!

“Okay” BBQ at best. $30 for a sandwich, side of Mac, and a brisket Mac bowl. Sandwich barely had any meat on it and it was dry, the Mac and cheese, if homemade, tastes like out of the bag Mac and cheese. The brisket Mac bowl was a large sized serving, but all it had on it was fatty pieces and burnt crumbs. If they change their menu, I might try again.

First time here. The employees are really nice and helpful. I had the smoked brisket Mac bowl with added peppers and pickles. It was portioned very well. Most BBQ places are 70/30 split. 70% Mac and 30% meat. However not here. It was 60% meat and 40% Mac. Which was an exceptional balance. The flavor was great. I definitely recommend and will be coming back!

My family and I were craving some brisket and since Theodores was closed for Labor Day weekend, we decided to give Pit Stop BBQ a try.

My wife and I ordered the Bro Sesh (yeah I know, weird name) which was a combo package that included 3 lbs of brisket, 2 medium sides, and 2 pieces of cornbread. The brisket was excellent. Nice bark and super tender. My wife wasn’t a fan of how fatty it was, but I appreciated it considering how a lot of BBQ places cut all the fat out which results in a very dry product. We got Mac and cheese and coleslaw as our sides. The Mac and cheese was ok. Your typical restaurant mac, very reminiscent of Stouffer’s. The coleslaw was coleslaw. The corn bread was, well, corn bread.

My son ordered the Sampler. Not sure why they call it that because you don’t get much to sample. It comes with 1 1/2 lbs of meat, and either 2 small sides or 1 medium side. He was very happy with everything.

My daughter ordered the brisket Mac and cheese. She loved it!

The biggest negative I can think of is the price. It’s crazy expensive! The portions are pretty decent, but they don’t match with the $$$.

Overall the food was good but it didn’t quite scratch our BBQ itch. Definitely willing to try it again but as of now, Theodores is still King.
