Pretty solid BBQ. The staff is super friendly, and service was top notch. We got a little bit of everything. We will be back!!!

The food was delicious. The beef was tender and seasoned deep into the meat. Nicely done. I had the Beef Dino Rib, Brisket and Smoked Chicken.

They advertise pulled pork and sell chopped. Meat has no flavor, so you have to soak it in BBQ Sauce. Ridiculous prices for what you get. They get you on the water also, as they don’t offer it at the fountain – only bottled and at quite the markup considering they get a 40 pack at Sams for $5.

the BEST BBQ I’ve had in San Angelo yet. A bit on the pricey side but definitely worth the money I was not disappointed. Meat fell off the bone and shredded super easily. Cooked to perfection. The sauce is pretty delicious too and the sides I got where fries and Mac which where just fine. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend if you don’t mind spending a pretty penny.

Congratulations!!!! This place has the absolute worst brisket I have ever tasted. Not only was it dry, but the serving size for $10 was too small.
Their menu board says French fries, they say nothing about seasoning.
Don’t waist your time with this place. They spent too much on the building and not enough on learning how to cook or do business.
What a shame. I will stick with Packsaddle!!!!
Absolute trailerpark trash!!!!
To top it off they want a tip for what?????

I ordered 1/2 pound Brisket for our bake potatoes and there was so much pepper on the Brisket. I couldn’t eat it! My room mate ate it all she loves pepper I’m allergic so I had to 4 benadryl and still feeling it! May end up in ER.

FINALLY! Delicious barbecue in Angelo! I moved to this area from the Austin area about 7 years ago. Austin has plenty of amazing barbecue places but until I found The Pit BBQ, everything else was subpar. This is REALLY good barbecue – definitely too pricey but worth it! And their homemade sauce is awesome!

The food here is delicious!! We have had the smoked turkey, pulled pork sandwiches and chopped beef sandwiches and they were all amazing. The bbq sauce is great too. My favorite sides are the squash and macaroni and cheese. They also offer Kool-aid which my husband and son really loved. They also offer a different special every day. We will definitely be back for sure.

Ok sooooo lets start out you walk in and the smokers are right infront of you. The place smells of delicious smoke and bbq. Then your greeted right away food comes out lightning fast. I got the jail break sandwich and the wife got the pitater. Now I would have never though of making a ppj brisket sandwich but they did and let me tell you this this is a pain in the ass to eat but tastes amazing. Would recommend to anyone looking to try something new.

Just moved to town and was in need of new BBQ. I was recommended to come here. I got the brisket sandwich and it was amazing. The sandwich was very flavourful and the BBQ sauce was also very delicious. I got the coleslaw as a side and it was very crisp and fresh. I highly recommend coming here if you are wanting BBQ in San Angelo.

Update : I got the jail break sandwich and it is amazing, something you have to try for yourself to understand why it’s so good.
Update: new location looks very nice, still plenty of parking, they have a soda machine inside and you can see them smoking the meat when you walk in.

We ordered their so-called “half-pound” pulled pork sandwiches (each costing $8.49) as a pick-up order last night. These sandwiches were pretty pathetic in serving size. We weighed them, and with the bun AND wrapper, they barely weighed a third of a pound. The cole slaw tasted old and the beans were bland. We won’t be coming back here again.
