I knew as soon as I walked in and only two people I shouldn’t have stayed. Went ahead and ordered anyway since it had been a few years since I was here before. Ordered a tap beer first and took 15 minutes despite being only 3 people here. The waitress said she couldn’t serve alcohol so we had to wait for her supervisor to get done with an interview. Ordered pulled pork, ribs and brisket with a salad. The ranch was so watered down it just went to the bottom of my salad bowl. The meats were so dry and obviously days old. The ribs were coated with a dry/wet rub that tasted like dirt. Once my beer arrived it was flat. I could not finish anything in my plate and was offered a discount but I refused. I just won’t ever come back. The poor waitress I could tell was defeated.

Food was good. Our server was very nice. She put college football on one of the tvs for us and as we were watching a man comes up to the bar and starts to change the channel…we let him know we were watching it and he just rudely grunted…come to find out he was the owner! Then he drinks a beer while walking around and his son (i assume because they looked alike and he followed him from the back area) comes out with a metal beer bucket over his ball cap….I wanted to buy shirts but sorry…thats not the way to run a business……food was good though…

Stopped in as I traveled through town. Was greeted as I entered, and my server was quick with the menu and my drink order. They have a full bar, so there’s plenty of drink options. Love the decorations, sorry I didn’t take pictures of that! Food was solid, and here’s my thoughts: Ribs are OK, a little over done and dry/powdery where there isn’t sauce, but a solid 6. The pulled pork is good, i’d say 8. The tri-tip is also overcooked and not a lot of flavor, sauce a must, 6. The coleslaw is quite good, has a nice balance of sweet and tangy without either being overwhelming, 9. The beans are not to my liking, 4. The Louisiana hot link is dry, not a lot of flavor, not much heat. No cheese inside that I can tell, 5. The pickle chips are fantastic, 10! Crispy batter, and lightly seasoned. The fry sauce is good, but not bold. The ranch is just a standard slightly watered down ranch. Overall, I’d give it a 7. It’s definitely a lot of food.

I guess this place is just a big hit or miss. Regardless, the price is not worth the risk. I was disappointed, but you might be satisfied.. the reviews are clearly 50/50. Maybe Monday is not the day. Mediocre at the very least in my opinion.

The worst food (BBQ) I have ever tasted! I wouldn’t be surprised if they were investigated for selling rotten meat. I’m so disappointed that if I could have them put out of business, it would happen yesterday! I can’t believe they have a 4point anything rating.

The Pig is a great place to eat in Winnemucca! The ambiance is cozy with a lot of fun antiques hanging up. The bar b que was great, I had the Cuban Sandwich which I would absolutely repeat. I am not a huge fries fan but these little curly q’s fries were particularly good! Friendly service too!

I had lunch there today and it was good. They forgot onions on my pig skins but they were still good. The waitress was amazing! Very kind and upbeat not rushed at all. If I remember right her name was Taylor. Wish more waitresses were like this one.

Worst tasting BBQ ive ever had. Ive had brisket from gas stations with better flavor. The waitresses were very nice and attentive and the place itself is clean. Im a full blooded Texan and I know BBQ. Believe me this ain’t it.

My husband and I stopped in and let’s just say we won’t be back. We ordered the smoke house and a brisket sandwich. The ribs were dry and the brisket looked like it was a school lunch Sloppy Joe. Our server was kind and friendly she didn’t seem very present or proactive. We waited about ten minutes just for our drinks which was ridiculous considering us and two other people were there.

The food was not great. The french frys were cold and my hamburger was okay but, the burger got lost in the hard bun. The lettuce was old, didn’t eat it. My hubby’s pork sandwich was just okay. However, our waitress was fantastic. We both ordered diet soda that was really sweet and flat. She came back with more drinks. She checked on us and was super polite.
