Wife and I ate lunch here on a Thursday. Not very busy, seated quickly, and had our food done pretty quickly too. We had a good view of the lake. We both had burgers. Hers was plain, I had the Bourbon BBQ burger. Both were good. Our mozzarella sticks were large but very bland. No seasoning to them. Personal preference really. We would definitely eat here again.

We’ve been on this lake for years, and let’s just say we’ve tried just about every dock-and-dine spot around—but The Pier (and The Back Porch) at Oakwood keep pulling us back in. Literally. Amazing food and beautiful outdoor dining! Service was prompt and friendly, food was delicious and worth the price, overall experience was excellent! Dessert was the only thing we wouldn’t reorder. Highly recommend the Goat cheese bruschetta (even if you don’t like goat cheese). The surf and turf and the Jamaican platter were amazing. Stacey was a great server. Will definitely be back!

Great place for lakeside dining! We’ve sat inside and outside – both are great. I especially love the blackened salmon grilled cheese with the house chips. The bruschetta was also very good. I’d stay away from the grilled veggies since they come soggy and unseasoned . The menu is large enough for everyone to find something they like. They even have sushi!

Definitely would recommend dining here. Made reservation for my sister & brother-in-laws anniversary. We had drinks at the tiki bar outside first then went inside for dinner. Outside ambiance was great…ordered margaritas & had a great time listening to the music & relaxing enjoying the beautiful view of the water. Bartender was Kira & she was super fun. Asked for table with a view when I made reservation but when we got there was told large party had area with best view…it was ok we still had a great dining experience. Appetizer was Bavarian pretzel…it was phenomenal…it was a meal all by itself…definitely worth it! Dinners were halibut…salmon burger…chicken sandwich & BBQ Burger…all were delicious! Ordered waffle fries with the sandwiches & they were the best we have ever had. Had martinis & they were very good. Dessert was a molten lava cake & it was amazing! We all had a great time & will definitely be dining here again.

We came in to celebrate my fiancé’s stepdad’s birthday. We arrived in great spirits, and the food was really good, though the service was barely ok. At the end of our meal, we waited about 30 minutes to receive our check due to “Wi-Fi issues.” When it finally came time to pay, our waitress never gave us a receipt as she said the wi-fi was still acting up. She was rushing to get us to pay and leave,which we also wanted to get out of there after waiting an EXTRA 30 minutes just for the check to arrive. After arriving home & discussing why our bills reached $200/ EACH, we later discovered an 18% gratuity had been automatically added — something our waitress NEVER mentioned during the entire service. (Our waitress was also very vocal about how she was NOT of age and verbatim, “was not supposed to be serving us our liquor and alcoholic beverages” Also verbatim, she told us to keep this “hush”.) Since we weren’t EVER informed about the gratuity, we added additional tips — meaning our waitress received both the included gratuity AND the extra tips we gave. One of the parties even mentioned giving her cash instead of putting it on the card and she excitedly responded “OKAY!” and STILL didn’t mention we had already tipped due to her adding it on to all of our bills. She also decided to include three very small children (all under age 4) in the headcount and the manager said that justified her adding on the gratuity when our party only ACTUALLY included 6 adults and they require 8 for automatic gratuity. When we spoke with the manager, she was very dismissive and basically told us “oh well.” In the end, the waitress pocketed almost an extra $30 in tips PER couple on top of the already-included 18% gratuity that was on all of our bills.

I wasn’t very hungry but we decided to have a late lunch at the restaurant in the Oakwood resort. View was beautiful, food was pretty good, and the service was fair. We spoke with a Syracuse local and she said the Pier and Back Porch was the go to restaurant on the lake. The prices were cheaper than I expected for a private club feeling. I enjoyed the huge salmon burger with fries. The chicken quesidilla was also quite tasty. The warm fall weather made walking along the lake after lunch very enjoyable and the hotel staff was very friendly and made us want to actually stay there. I’d love to eat some fish on the outdoor patio during the summer for that waterside experience. Super good vibes all around this place. Worth the trip for sure.

The food here is not worth the price. It was alot better when we went in the past. You can get a more flavorful steak at an applebees then here. Everything taste as though it was bought in the walmart forzen aisle. Drinks were not served until after our entrees had arrived, and it was not very busy. Save you 100+ dollars and eat elsewhere. As well who ever decided to put a full band in that small of a space was not thinking. You had to yell just to hear the person sitting next to you.
Only thing redeemable is the staff is polite.

The food quality and the service were much better than I expected. The views are great and it’s a large facility with plenty of seating space. The menu has a lot of variety including sushi and oysters. Everything we ordered was great. The staff was excellent in overall this was a fantastic experience.
