Didn’t know they closed for two weeks ago had very limited supply. But bought the large turkey pie-sososo good. Fyi a frozen one that has been defrosting all day takes almost 2 hours to cook, not one! Yes expensive, but such a treat! One large pie easily feeds 4 people

“The Pie Store” is an absolute gem! If you haven’t been, you’re seriously missing out on a slice of heaven—pun totally intended. Every time I walk in, I’m hit with the warm, comforting aroma of freshly baked pies, and I know I’m about to experience something special.

Their chicken pie is a revelation—savory, perfectly seasoned, and packed with tender, flavorful chicken wrapped in a golden, flaky crust that’s sheer perfection. It’s the ultimate comfort food, whether you’re having it for lunch, dinner, or just because you want something amazing.

And don’t get me started on their apple pie. It’s everything you dream an apple pie should be—sweet, tangy apples, a touch of cinnamon, and a buttery, crumbly crust that melts in your mouth. It’s the kind of pie that feels like a warm hug on a crisp day. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and you’re in dessert heaven.

But the real showstopper? Their turkey pie, which is available only around Thanksgiving and Christmas. It’s a holiday miracle in pie form! Imagine tender turkey, rich gravy, and just the right mix of veggies all encased in that legendary crust. It’s like they’ve bottled up all the holiday joy and baked it into a pie. I literally count down the days until the holiday season just so I can snag one (or five).

The Pie Store isn’t just about the pies, though. The staff is always friendly, and you can tell they put so much love into every single thing they make. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like part of the family, and honestly, I can’t recommend it enough. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or picking up a feast for the holidays, “The Pie Store” never disappoints. It’s hands down my favorite pie spot, and I’ll be a loyal customer for life!

It has been far too long since I stepped foot into this Montclair Staple. After a long day out playing music out in the cold I Pulled a quick U-turn And walked into the This little piece of Montclair Magic. Greeted by a warm smile, and an all too familiar face; I inhaled The pleasant smell of multiple pies cooking. It’s what you would imagine Bilbo Baggins little hobbit hole would smell like. Pastry, butter, sautéed onion. Van Morrison playing in the back ground.
After a quick perusal of the candy section I got myself a Shepard’s pie and a Chicken Pot pie. Home now in my sweats and wool socks with a movie on and glass of Cabernet I’m so grateful for my purchase. The Shepard’s pie is ever so slightly less seasoned so that one can add salt and pepper to their liking. I brush a little melted butter over it the last few minutes it’s in the oven. The pleasure of a truly home-cooked meal without any of the work. And a prime example of why you should always remember to shop local this holiday season. I will share the chicken pot pie with friends, seeing as it is gigantic. All without scrubbing, a single pot or pan.

We’ve always wanted to try a mince pie, and this year I finally went for it . I got a mince pie from the pie store and it was absolutely delicious! So fresh, baked perfectly, with such tasty filling, my whole family loved it. Just had to put it in the oven for 15 mins and done!
The whole place has such a pleasant vibe, from their chicken pot pie to apple pie everything is great!

Their key lime pie was my favorite ever. Thick but not sweet cream on top, rich and tart middle layer with satisfying lime shavings, and a buttery graham cracker crust.
Also tried a strawberry scone, and a steal ale & mushroom pie, both looked amazing and tasted merely good. So, 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5 since my girlfriend, who shared all these with me, seemed outraged that I considered anything other than 5.

Other notes:
-All items bought cold, need to be warmed up at home.
-Maximum 4 people inside at a time, and there was a slow moving line since some orders were large.

Absolutely terrible. Pumpkin scone is nasty. Taste like flour and baking soda. How can you be from the UK and make something that taste so awful. Sally Lynn’s in Chester makes better scones. Now I’m scared to try the pasty that I bought. Also, the prices are very high everything comes cold by the way. Nothing is warm

First time in the store in years. Food is still as amazing as I remembered it. The Moroccan Soup hits in this cold weather. Sam definitely keeping it on the path.

It ain’t cheap! Found pies and sausage rolls a bit ex but good. Nothing has a price on it but after asking about a box of cereal and being told $14 I didn’t bother checking anything else

Chocolate scone was worse than what you would get from a street cart vendor. Chocolate tasted cheap and the scone part didn’t taste like anything at all. Just tried The apple and berry pie and it is bland, practically tasteless. We also bought a shepherds pie and I am dreading that culinary experience. Never again. Huge waste of money. Whole Foods’ berry pie is even way better than this overpriced dreck.

I found this delicious spot on TikTok and I am so glad I heard about it! It is an adorable shop that sells authentic British treats and food with homemade pies and desserts. My boyfriend and I purchased their strawberry rhubarb pie and it was delicious! My boyfriend, who is Australian, said it tasted just like what he would have back home. They had so many other flavors of pies and we already can’t wait to go back and try another one!
