I’ve been driving 9 miles each way for breakfast at the pie shack for about 4 years now. We rent a lakeside cottage on Green Lake for a couple weeks at a time in late May and late August. She works on writing her current book and still sees clients on zoom, so I get to find a place with pancakes. I have high standards, so when I say that Jay makes the best and largest buttermilks I’ve enjoyed. High praise. Since that’s what i eat here, I can only add that sll of their offerings, including their homemade pies, look great and are quite popular. Carla runs their adjacent deli in this vintage corner building.

From the service to the wonderful food the chef makes to the pies, The Pie Shack is definitely a high recommendation! My coworkers and I spent a couple of weeks in town for work and went to The Pie Shack almost every day that we were there. Amber was our friendly server most of those days and she was so friendly and professional! The food came quickly and was tasty every day. They have different home cooked specials each day such as Beef Stew, Lasagna, and Scalloped Potatoes & Ham…each one so tasty! And, let’s not forget the namesake pies! The first week we were there their specialty pie was Butterfinger (very tasty), the second week it was Andes Mint (I will be trying that one later. In addition to the specialty pie, there was Cherry, Dutch Apple, Key Lime, Chocolate Cream, Raspberry Cream, and several others!
If you are ever in Berlin, WI, I would definitely stop in to The Pie Shack for a meal, or at least a piece of their many available pies!

We were passing through and the Pie Shack caught our attention. Breakfast was delicious. The atmosphere is really cute and clean. We stopped on a February Saturday morning and we were surprised it wasn’t busier. They have a wide selection of Pies. We took 2 pieces to go.

This little “slice” (pie pun) of heaven is just perfect for your morning breakfast! Have a hot cup of coffee, some creamy oatmeal or a delicious skillet. If you are lucky enough to get the best waitress, Jillian, serve you then you know you are going to have a great day. Had a slice of Chocolate cream pie with my oatmeal…hands down the BEST.PIE.EVER!!

Food was great the waitress was wonderful! My husband attempted to order extra pickles but, the system they take orders on would not allow her to do that we were happy paying extra but it did ruin my husband’s craving and anticipated meal. Whoever designed the order system did not think about making customers happy.

The food here is fantastic! The first time was a week ago, and then just this week again. The restaurant cook/owner actually remembered me, based on my order the week before. He said rarely do people order what I did, the way I did. The food comes out fast and hot, and the taste is terrific. In addition the pies are great! All home made pies, NOT the junk most restaurants have because they order from the big food delivery companies.

The quality of the food and service is great, with a small town feel!! The staff is very attentive in taking our order and always making sure we get everything we need! I’m not a huge fan of the breakfast selection, but the burgers are amazing and the pie’s are on point!!
