We are from Kansas City and it’s hard to find a good BBQ place here in town. For Sparks and North Reno this is the best place we have tried. The ribs were good, the brisket isn’t KC style but it’s delicious, moist, and tender! The Mac n Cheese with meat on top was decadent and also fantastic. I liked the little cornbread with the sugar butter. The beans were tasty too, a lot of places forget to make good sides. However, the sides here were great! The coleslaw was creamy. The spinach dip had a good garlic cheesy flavor. The chili was meaty and thick. The services was nice. The place was clean and well styled inside.

This place is AMAZING! The food is literally euphoric if you are a BBQ conossure, vegan options, or PETA supporters, who cares!, not your type of place, the owner is friendly and actually comes to your table to introduce himself, the waitstaff is great without hiccups, dog friendly if you have a well behaved dog. Would I recommend The Phoenix, absolutely!, by far the best food at Legends, great job!

The food and service was fair. The band was too loud but good. Probably would have appreciated them more if I was sitting 30 yards away instead of up front where we were seated. I worked for a major airline for over 37 plus years and lost more hearing that night than working for the airlines all those years. I had the coconut prawns which were delicious. Also had the spiced up brussel sprouts which were okay but the Outback has better brussel sprouts. I’ll probably go back but not on a night when they have music.

Definitely one of the best places I’ve found in Reno/Sparks area for barbecue. The owner is a nice guy. Got the bonanza. Absolutely delicious. Killer Mac and cheese. I will definitely be going back for the food and to check out the live music. Definitely worth going if you’re in the area.

We stopped here during a hot day of shopping. Staff must have been a bit short because they said they didn’t have tables available inside for our party of 8 even though we spotted a few so we sat out in the patio. It was a hot day. We assumed it would be tolerable with the heat since they had misters on. Misters we’re only on at the bar height tables and because we had a baby in a high chair we couldn’t sit there. The restaurant had a fan with a mister going by the front door. We got very hot sitting outside in the sun waiting for our food so we asked if we could turn the fan towards us for a while. The waitress told us the fan was there to attract customers walking by therefore we could not turn it toward us. If I owned a business I would want to keep actual customers happy. They are the ones spending the money there already. I’m sure happy customers eating outside would be more attractive to business than sweaty customers trying to stay keep cool with the menus but that’s an assumption. Overall our food was very basic. Seemed like you could get similar food at Applebee’s or any american grill. I will say the fish and chips was probably the best dish. It was great. Flaky and crispy but meaty and juicy on the inside. The fries are really good also but you don’t get very many per dish so you may need more to share. I think this would be a good place for adults to come hang out as they had live music and a couple bars. I’m sure happy hour is fine also. The window outside specifically said “family-friendly”. However I think that only applies at a certain hour and location on the restaurant.

Very good tri tip and the baked beans are frankly thr best I have ever had. The brisket was okay and might have needed a little longer and and lower heat. Our server was absolutely amazing and actually made the whole experience better.
