I drove all the way Out West to my Homie Repast next door to this Jerk Spot. I said I’ll give them a Try. WORSE decision ever! I was Hungry for some Jerk Food. Should’ve known not to eat out West but I said I’ll give it a Try. I asked for the Jerk Salmon Alfredo. This what they gave me and it had Spinach in it & the Salmon wasn’t fully cooked. This is the worse Jerk Spot I have ever been to out here. I spent $40 for it and I bought two Calypso drinks & the two Drinks was the only thing I kept. I left cause they have a no refund policy. I left to drive back over east to grab some Harold’s Chicken and that did the job. Look at the videos , I give this food a 0 Stars if I could! It ain’t worth it.

So disappointed, I hated to do this review, but this needed to be said and hopefully it can save people some money. I ordered the chicken jerk Fried Rice. It was so mushy and unflavorful and not even fried. These pictures that I attached is showing how it looked which is better than how it tasted. Not happy especially since this was expensive, waited 20 minutes for the egg rolls which were good and my husband had 1/4 chicken which he said it was ok. I will not be returning due to the price and the fried rice.

This is my 2nd time buying food from here. Today Valentine day decided to treat myself to a jerk chicken meal with rice and plantains. The chicken does not have a jerk flavor at all, neither does the black sauce a mess. My plantains are totally burnt up. I tried calling with no answer.
My first experience the Mac and cheese was watery which I had to wait for them to cook.
There is nothing authentic about this place. I will not be going back. My roots are Jamaican. These Americans cooks are not doing it.
Sorry I will not be buying from them again.

I absolutely love this place. I walked in and not knowing what I was going to get because I had some jerk chicken that was not so good. I came in and I told the guy that was behind the counter. I’ve never been here before I drove from the west side over here and he gave me a sample. The chicken tip was so tender and flavorful. I had to order some while I was waiting he offered me a sample of some rusted pasta. I had to get some of that too.The service was quick and the food was delicious and hot when I got home, I I was really surprised at the portions because I had enough chicken to eat for dinner that night take some for lunch and eat the rest for dinner the night the last night for that price I can say thumbs up to a perfect jerk. I really enjoyed it ThankYou.

I will start this review with the caveat that on this particular evening the Macaroni and Cheese was very thin and soupy. Upon it coming out, the lady behind the counter began to stir it and we both noticed it immediately, then both looked at each other. We both understood it wasn’t supposed to be that way, we both exchanged smiles about it, and she joked, “it’s still good though!”
Now, let me start with the egg rolls which literally could’ve been a meal by themselves because of how massive they were. These are not your run of the mill sized egg rolls, and understand that just 2, would be enough to satisfy as a stand alone meal. Loved the cheese pull on them. The shrimp tacos were good, I would’ve liked more Jerk sauce cooked on them, instead of me needing to add to them. The Catfish was more grilled than the fried I ordered, but the onion medley served on top more than made up for that with the flavor burst out gave each bite. The Cabbage was not bland, the red beans and rice was hidden under the Catfish which gave added flavor, but I’ll have to go again for the Mac and cheese, as that night was a miss for me.

Took my son there for the first time tonight. We live in River Forest and Oak Park. The food is absolutely delicious…..so much flavor they give you really good portions. Highly recommended!! We paid $47 for a lot of food, enough for four people.

The food was AMAZING! We had the oxtails, cabbage, chicken tips, and Rasta pasta. The oxtails had us both in a chokehold. They were so flavorful and big! Our second favorite were the jerked chicken tips; they were flavorful, tender, and delicious! The staff was polite and a gentleman came out twice while we were there just to greet the growing crowd of customers and ask how we were all doing. The only thing is the prices are a bit high for some; we paid $101.00 for two oxtail dinners, a side of small chicken tips and two sodas. BUT we didn’t leave with any regrets. We had extra food to take home.

This is dope quick serve type Jerk spot. Service was amazing, soon as we walked in the owner greeted us and gave us some samples of jerk tips that were so good. FORSURE coming back for that. Ok so we ordered a half jerk chicken with red beans and rice, a Cesar salad, Rasta pasta, and the jerk chicken fried rice. Jerk chicken was great, the best that can be made that’s not wood fired. The Cesar salad could hold its own anywhere, and the Rasta pasta was DELICIOUS. The star of the show tho was the jerk chicken fried rice. OH MY GOD I’m glad my mom wasn’t here cause she would’ve got slapped it was soooo good . I will absolutely be back to this place because the food and service was amazing. This place is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
