I am simply blown away by this establishment!! The food was outstanding, the drinks- outstanding, the service and the owner- also outstanding. It was our first time dining here. I found this restaurant on happy cow. We’re in town for work nearby and I always struggle to find good vegan options but this place was beyond delicious for both me and my meat eating husband. He had the wings and the scallops. He was full but kept eating because everything was so delicious. He loved the eggnog delight and the peanut butter cup martini (he’s not a drinker and hates the taste of alcohol and was ready for more!!) I had the vanilla and the salted caramel moonshines and both completely blew my mind! The vegan options were plentiful and all sounded amazing. I can’t wait to try the peanut butter spaghetti. Tonight I hit the vegan chicken parm and I love love loved it. They had various gluten free options as well. We were too stuffed for dessert but the options sounded wonderful too and included a vegan lemon sorbet! The waitress was attentive and made great recommendations and the owner was so sweet and personable!I will definitely be coming back many many times!

Excellent short ribs with spaetzle and mushrooms dish! Great easy-going environment, family-friendly, really good menu (lots of choices plus gluten-free available options). Fenced in parking lot behind the restaurant, off of Cherry Street.

Went before PBR at Santander. Got there at 5 and barely made the rodeo at 7. Server was rude and needs to retire. Our party member ask for the GF option and a Caesar salad with no croutons. Brought a salad with croutons and claimed she wasn’t told, told twice about GF. She also brought a salad no one ordered and told our party member to just eat that one. Had to ask multiple times for water with lemon, eventually we got water minus the lemon. Food is usually good but the flounder fell well short of good. The soft pretzel was good the cheese with it was not. If it was my 1st time it would be my last, because I know they can do better I would give it another chance.

We had a small group on a Tuesday night. The service was great and the food was fantastic. Great place to go in the city. Plenty of off street parking!

from out of town & decided to stop in for a bite. the atmosphere and decor is fantastic! i was greeted promptly by michael and he gave me some recommendations on some food to have. i started with the Caesar salad, you can taste how fresh their croutons are! and for dinner i had a featured dish, chicken pasta with peanut sauce. it was so delicious & a healthy portion so i was able to take some home with me! and after that i had a slice of the chocolate covered pretzel pie. it was divine! everything was amazing for my short visit 🙂 bathrooms were clean, food was yummy & service was fantastic. will definitely stop by again when im back in town!

We visited Reading for the Berks Jazz Fest and came here for dinner before the show.
Very cool place, vintage photos of Reading playing on screens threw out the dining area. Old photos on the walls
including some Penske racing shots.
Good food, good drinks and decent prices.
I will definitely return!

Very cool “historic” spot that has surprisingly good food. Yes, there are peanut shells everywhere, and lots of things on the menu that have peanuts or peanut butter in them. I was not expecting “peanut butter rice” to be a thing I’d ever want to eat, but you know what? It was yummy!

Dessert was also outstanding, the pretzel ice cream pie thing was so delicious. Service was also great, very attentive and a fun atmosphere. This is the sort of family-owned business that you can’t help but want to support.

Came into reading for a show at the arts theater. Parking is available right next door. It was our first time at the peanut bar restaurant and it was very warm and welcoming. We made reservations in advance for 5:30. We arrived and we’re seated promptly. Restaurant has spacious seating for two people up to and including multiple families. Nice drink and food menu. We happen to be there on a jazz night which was very pleasant while we dined. Food and drinks came out quick once we ordered. Crab cake had a wonderful garlic sauce, veggies were crisp and flavorful. Bacon burger was cooked to my liking, with lots of bacon on top. Huge dill pickle came with my meal. The whole place was an absolute gem. Will definitely be coming back!!

I really wanted to like this place but the hot roast beef sandwich kept it from getting 5 stars. It was that bad. Weirdest gravy and hardly any beef. The fries were great, the free peanuts were great and service excellent. I was surprised there was only one peanut dish on the menu and that was with pasta so I didn’t get it. How about some wings with peanut sauce maybe. Besides, the waitress told me it would take about a 1/2 hour for wings because they were so far backed up.

This place was great! My sister and I were visiting for an event at Santander arena, we walked here and it was a great meal. We had the crab dip, cheese balls, and chocolate pretzel dessert! Seriously everything was delicious and the staff was so accommodating and friendly even though they were really busy! A must try!
