We are here for all of your baked-goods needs, with production done on premises at the Poughkeepsie Plaza, conveniently located just off Route 9, minutes from the Poughkeepsie Train Station and a short ride north of Fishkill and I84.

We have used Pastry Garden time and time again for our son’s birthday parties and our work events. Their cakes are phenominal. Most especially our Numberblocks and Star Wars themed cakes (photos included) as their attention to detail with all edible characters, ended up in such beautiful artistry. We had incredible WOWs from the crowd. I want to thank Jennifer as well as the entire Pastry Garden crew for their time, customer service, attention to detail and artistry. So so happy to have used pastry garden for our wedding cake!! We got to meet with them, taste 4 different combinations of cakes and frostings and share pictures of what we wanted for our cake. I’m attaching a picture of a one layer cake that we used for inspiration and then attaching our wedding cake picture. Such a great match, with everything that I wanted. It was so perfect!! They took care of everything day of- bringing it to the venue and having it set up, we had nothing to worry about and I would recommend them to anyone!

Pastry Garden provided both their big cupcakes and gluten free cupcakes for a big dinner/birthday party we had. The cupcakes were great – many of our guests said they were the best they ever had – and our gluten free guests were thrilled with their cupcakes that made them feel they weren’t missing out on anything. You will not find better service or quality anywhere else! I got my wedding cake from the Pastry Garden and the ladies were awesome to work with. They delivered it to the venue and the cake was delicious. The only thing is they charge an additional $25 fee for decorating your cake with (a few) flowers, which was odd.

Unfortunately, Pastry Garden cakes have fallen very low in quality. Having purchased a 6” cake out of the case this morning, we just cut it open to see that it is literally over 50% frosting. It’s very clear that they will thinly slice 1 layer into 3, and use copious amount of frosting to build up height. For $26, this just feels like we were completely taken advantage of. Having had a similar experience at the Pastry Garden at Adam’s previously, I fear this is a policy versus a one-off.

I usually travel down to the city to get my cakes. But this year I chose to stay local and I’m glad I did. I purchased two cakes for my son’s birthday. They were delicious and moist. Decorated beautifully. I’m never taking that 2 hour drive for cake ever again. Thank you Pastry Garden. My new favorite bakery.
