Ordered “baked” Mostaccioli with a family deal for pick up. Which is suppose to include cheese and ya know, actually baking the pasta. They charge you an extra $4 for this. The wife brings home the order and alas, it hasn’t been baked. Call the restaurant. Nice hostess answers but cannot offer a solution. Placed on hold for a manager. After 10 minutes, you save your fight for another day and hang up. End of the world? Of course not. But, it’s the attention to detail that matters. Now, I knew better. Damnit I knew better than to order from Pasta House but we’re working, busy parents and here we are. Better yet, here they are. Living up to a reputation of crappy service and not giving a crap.

I ask for Chicken Flamingo, white sauce, the bigger salad (which they upcharge but you get unlimited if you’re dining in?), EXTRA REAL BUTTER for my rolls & silverware to go.
They’re always busy & it’s always good so call your order in ahead. Enjoy!

Online we ordered a grande salad which was supposed to feed two. Picked it up and when we got home found it was a small 7″ bowl (see photo). I called back thinking it must be a mistake for a salad costing over $10. “No” they said. “That’s right. The bowl is deeper than it used to be.” We were very disappointed in the size of the salad and the service.

Overall a pretty terrible experience. The wait for our food was long, over 30min, probably closer to 45min, and the restaurant was not busy. I got a chicken pesto with red sauce meal and could not taste any pesto. The chicken was inedible, which was a first for me in any chicken-eating situation. It was like trying to eat cardboard, flat and sinewy and tasted like it had been cooked, frozen, and then reheated another 5 times and then left to sit out for many hours. I was glad that the pasta at least tasted good. I also got cannoli, which I found was less than half-filled. I left the restaurant feeling disappointed at how much I spent given the poor quality, and wishing I had just cooked at home. The others at my table did have edible food, but also felt the general quality was lacking.

Great location to host small meetings. Had 12 people for a dinner meeting on a Monday night and the service was great to serve that size group with one wait staff. Friendly service and great Italian food. They offer a rewards program for repeat customers. Be sure to ask for what the specials are since they vary.

To yesterday… Ordered my usual via Doordash.. Linguine with Chicken Livers. I know, I know lol – not a ton of fans – it’s my favorite, though. Unfortunately, I couldn’t even eat the livers – I pulled every single piece out. They were in little, tiny pieces burned black. Soooo disappointing. The chicken livers do NOT look like chicken livers – at all. At least the chocolate cake was good. For the price of the dish, it could have, at least, been edible…

This is the BEST pasta house in the St. Louis area. The food is like no other and honestly this place brings me true happiness. This is my favorite restaurant and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is always so uplifting and very home like. I will most definitely continue to come back.
