We had a group of seven people. We went at 6:30 on a Wednesday night and there was no wait. The waiter was attentive, our food was delicious, and served quickly. We all got different things and they all tasted delicious. We had a food allergy and they graciously kept dairy out of a plate.

I recently visited the Wicker Park location of Pasta Bowl. The food was okay, served hot and fresh. The beverage selection here was more limited. Even though the restaurant wasn’t busy, service was noticeably slow, which was a bit frustrating. While I don’t have any complaints about the food itself, the overall experience wasn’t great, mostly due to the service. Next time, I’ll probably stick with the Lincoln Park location.

Food is amazing. Typically always order take out but management and host is super nice. But there’s been several times and this is my fault for even returning, but there’s several times I’ve found hair in my food. Really gross.

Hair in the first picture. Weirdly dry and unappealing on the second.

WHO NEEDS OLIVE GARDEN? Not only is the environment cozier, the pasta is way better, but comparable prices (don’t quote me on that).

The Pasta Bowl is a staple for dine-in, pick-up, or delivery. The pasta is already good but with enough salt & pepper it can be a real killer. The bread is nothing special but definitely had its use to scrape the rest of the sauce. The salad for balance and the lava cake to knock us out, made this a good eating experience!

We had been wanting to try this place for a while, but unfortunately it wasn’t for me. The gnocchi came with an overwhelming amount of cheese and creamy sauce, and after one bite I just couldn’t eat more. The seafood pasta was decent, but overall it’s a once-and-done experience for me.

We were immediately welcomed and were checked on numerous times during our short wait. We felt like VIPs for no reason got a large booth. It is a busy restaurant and the food is cooked in full view, which is reassuring. There is also a small bar in the same space. The food and drinks are a good value. The food portions are large so there is plenty for leftovers the next day. The flavors are great. I would try to find something less rich on a next visit as I’m used to eating lighter food, but this is the pasta bowl, so that’s the way to go here. I loved the artwork from photographs of the neighborhood and a cool mural. The room is a little dark for me but reminds me of family Italian restaurants we went to when I was growing up in this area. We’ll be back for sure. Our daughter told us the desserts are great but we have to come just for dessert for that I think.

Very solid pasta spot! Had dinner with a friend here and we sat at the bar because there was a wait for open tables. I’m not sure if they do reservations but if they do I would reccomend making one.

We got the $6 moscow mule deal, farfalle pollo, mozzerella sticks and the pesto linguine. Everything we ordered was really good and the mozzerella sticks were some of the best I’ve ever had. The pasta portions were also ginormous, my farfalle dish was three servings for me.

Service was also really good and the price is very reasonable!

The food is great here and I love dining in, it’s always a pleasant experience. But unfortunately whenever I order online, the staff seem to care less for service. This is the second time I have ordered through doordash the same dish and both times there have been issues. The first time (requested through selection not a custom special request) I ordered no onions with everything else included and received onions in my dish and without broccoli. There was also a long strand of hair in the other dish I ordered. The most recent time I ordered through door dash the same exact bowl and received the same error, no broccoli and onions which I requested not on the dish. It was listed this way on the receipt attached to the bag as well and double checking proof of my online order, this was just printed incorrect? I don’t understand what could be going wrong every time I order. Love this restaurant, but would not recommend ordering online.

I had read that the pasta was handmade so I went out of my way to visit the Wicker Park location. Don’t be fooled by the affordable pricing or relatively casual atmosphere. When ordering I asked the server which was better the penne pasta or the gnocchi. He said the gnocchi was his favorite. When it came it had more cheese and sauce than I usually eat. But the combination with the generous portion of chicken, mushrooms and gnocchi was excellent. It’s a heavy lunch but so worth it. I will be brining my friends and family.

We go to a Pasta Bowl every NYE as a tradition when we go into the city. The food is delicious, and portions are enough for leftovers. The kids love the rainbow noodles, and every dish we’ve tried is fresh and tastes amazing! The atmosphere is dark and quiet. We either hit up Wicker Park or Lincoln Park, depending on what’s closer, and both locations never disappoint. Would recommend to anyone!
