We came to Market Street Café specifically to try the famous oxtail soup, and it definitely lived up to the hype. We did have about an hour-long wait, but once we were seated, everything moved quickly. Our order was taken right away, and soon enough we had our soup and a burger on the table.
The oxtail soup was delicious. The meat fell right off the bone, and the broth was rich and full of flavor. I personally would have loved it to be hotter, since it came out more on the lukewarm side. I’m not sure if that’s intentional because they’re so busy and want to keep things moving, but either way, the flavor was incredible. The burger, on the other hand, was just okay and nothing particularly special.
The service was wonderful, and the ambiance was great. The place was filled with so many local Hawaiian families that it made the experience feel even more authentic. Overall, worth the visit for the oxtail soup alone!

We stopped in for lunch and ended up having one of those meals that just hits the spot. I went for the club sandwich and fries—classic and done right. Crispy fries, stacked sandwich, no complaints. We also ordered the saimin, which was super comforting and full of flavor, and a big breakfast plate with pancakes, tocino, eggs, and rice. Talk about the best of both worlds—sweet, savory, and totally satisfying. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, like real island comfort food. By the time we left, we were completely stuffed and so happy. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and just enjoy your meal. If you’re anywhere nearby and craving island-inspired flavors, definitely make the stop. You won’t regret it!

Since 1975, this 24-hour diner has catered to Hawaiian travelers and longtime locals, helping downtown Vegas earn the nickname “the Ninth Island.” It’s known for island-style comfort food like loco moco, Spam and eggs, fried gyoza, and its most famous dish—oxtail soup.

This place is a 24h Hawaiian Restaurant. I came here with a group to try the famous oxtail soup (served 11pm- 6am). There is a wait time so be prepared. The oxtail soup broth was flavorful and the portion size was moderate with lots of fall-off-da bone oxtail. I couldn’t finish the whole thing, so I took it to-go and it actually tastes better the next day when reheated. The atmosphere and service was average (not the same aloha spirit-I guess just food inspired). For drinks they stated that we had to order from the casino servers not at the restaurant, which was inconvenient, especially if you want a Hawaiian Sun juice with your meal. I wanted to their butterfish, but maybe next time when it is available.

Me and my sister just wanted to have a quick bite to eat. I’m going to be completely honest after eating the food I was served my stomach actually feels queasy. I ordered a teriyaki burger and it comes with fries and my sister got a teriyaki salmon. When we got our food, my sister’s food just didn’t look appetizing at all. The sauce was like a thick, goopy, wet gravy. It was not teriyaki glaze. She told me that the fish was horrible tasting and the broccoli was soggy.
Let alone I I tried it and when I tried the salmon it was wet, drenched in the thick goopy brown sauce. That was probably one of the worst tasting salmons I have ever tried. It also was not hot. The rice was mushy too.
I ordered the teriyaki burger and it also came with the wet thick sauce. I wanted it to be well done and it was kinda pink. Overall it just wasn’t the greatest experience. We told the waiter about the salmon situation and she told me “no one complains about our food.” I’m just really disappointed because I have ate here when I was younger years ago. The quality of food is not there.

Have to order what’s right for you. Have been here a few times over last few years. Went for breakfast recently, pancakes were good, they are open 24 hours so good place to go for breakfast for those of us on east coast time. In past have gotten the prime rib special, it was good. Got a Hawaii noodle dish (forget name) that I did not like, was a bit greasy.

They got rid of their natural cut fries for their burgers and sandwiches. They now went cheaper and have these greasy ones. That alone is a reason to stop going for me. That is a downgrade of food quality. Also all the prices have been removed from their website and the prices inside went up $1.
The place has gotten even worse. Ordered the Philly again and this time the entire sandwich was greasy and the fries unseasoned.

After enjoying some shopping on Fremont Street, we were looking for a place to grab lunch and ended up finding this spot. I’d been eating hamburgers non-stop for days and really wanted something different, so this restaurant was perfect.
I ordered the Asian Combo Noodle. I expected three small bowls with different noodles, but all the flavors were combined on one plate. The toppings were a mix of shrimp, shumai, kamaboko (fish cake), and char siu (BBQ pork)—ingredients that Asians would definitely never combine on a single plate! For some reason, the shumai tasted like gyoza! Each ingredient tasted good on its own, but they had absolutely no harmony together, almost like they were representing the relationship between Japan and China! Anyway, it was delicious, and it was my first time eating Asian noodles in America.
My bodyguard’s hamburger steak was surprisingly delicious! The sauce was really good – I wish I had ordered that instead! The salad was tasty too, but it was way too much for two people. We just got a little carried away ordering so much since we were in Vegas, but it’s all part of the good memories!

Went there around 3-4am, and waited for 45 minutes before getting in. But didn’t regret the decision to go. Ox tail soup was amazing, it was a huge serving and very flavorful. What surprised me was their steak, I would say this is probably the best steak I’ve ever had. The steak was dark brown on the outside with grill marks and tender, and juicy on the inside. Highly recommend this place at all times ( Because they are open 24/7!!!)
