Been here multiple times over a span of 6 years & while the service is good, the food is just bad. Each time we left with unsatisfied palates. My pork fried rice was over cooked with a bunch of burnt pieces. Making the whole meal dry & inedible. And for the price of the dish, it’s disappointing to see they are using frozen veggies. On my way to the bathroom I noticed the hallway was filled with smoke, which further validated the suspicion of my burnt food. My wife’s salmon with rice was very bland. Her white rice tasted either over cooked or old. We really wanted to like this place but it just never could live up to the generous reviews.

Cozy place with some badass burgers. Started with a Paloma edged with Old Bay Salt and hubby a local IPA. The meal began with a kale salad topped with grapes, brown sugar glazed pecans, avocado, and lemon vinaigrette. It was so tasty. Hubby got a station burger with onion rings. I got a Blind Pig Burger. Hubby said the rings were some of the best he had with a nice crisp. I’m going to say my burger was the second best one I’ve ever had and I’ve had some good burgers in my life. Cooked perfect. Bun had a little crunch. Bacon nice and smoky. You could tell the burger was top notch.

I seriously can’t say enough good things about The Paper Station. Every time I go, the experience is consistently amazing.
The staff is always super friendly, even when it’s packed. You can tell they work hard and genuinely care about making sure you have a great time.
And the food? So good. Whether you’re in the mood for something a little more elevated or just craving a solid burger and fries, they’ve got it all.

While this place is nice, be forewarned it’s small and that makes for the conversations to be even louder.
The food was good. I had the French onion soup and the olive burger. It was all pretty staple and tasty.
I still have my concern about the wait staff. Two ladies working and the speed and urgency they had wasn’t that of working but stressed and hectic. The older waitress seemed to have an attitude but then younger one was amazing!

The space is extremely tight. There is only one server so it can take a while to get your food.
My burger was over cooked and dry, but had a good taste and the bacon was on point.
The Korean fries were good, but drenched in mayo. I like mayo, but it was a good 1/4 cup of mayo.
My main point of contention is the cost. The price is just too high for a burger that comes with zero sides. $23? That’s north of a lot of places in NYC, which have far superior food.
Why is the cost do high? Lack of alternatives…

The lobster was served on a big bun, and while it looked like a lot, it only half filled the bun. So you eat half a loberster sandwich and half a lettuce sandwich for 30+ dollars. The fries were cold but probably wouldn’t have been that great if they were hot. The onion rings had phenomenal flavor but were lukewarm. The Wagu burger was good. Spent over $80 for lunch for two and a drink. I would give it one more chance, maybe just an off day, but I wouldn’t wait in line to get in if they were busy.

This restaurant has a narrow storefront in downtown Harbor Springs. It is quite nice. The tables are snug. The service was very friendly and good. I had the Maurice salad, which is reminiscent of having lunch with my mom at Hudson‘s. My companions had burgers with fries. The presentation of the food was great, and the portions were reasonable. I felt the prices were pretty high. My salad, for example, was $18. Would have loved a glass of wine, but chose water because I’m thrifty. 🙂 Nonetheless it was a pleasant dining experience. Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter how far ahead you make a reservation for 5… If you have a party of 5, you will be seated at the bar, in the back with the noise of kitchen and dishes being bussed into tubs…. Hearing every single drink order, every dish being served from the kitchen as well as all the restaurant gossip and all the staff complaints, door dash pickup is also a foot away…not quite what you imagine when you pay $50-$100 a head for a dinner. Eating at home is a better option. And there is only one waitress ever working. Lesson learned, since this happens every time… Make the reservation for 6 and show up with 5 or just choose a restaurant with friendlier more accommodating staff. We have witnessed them being rude to many customers in the past as well and have heard about others bad experiences as well as bad management. Despite the food being good for HS there is no need to return. Bar seating is not reservation seating in a restaurant. Never should be. You choose to sit at a bar or get seated there without reservations. Not with reservations! In addition, the restaurant is currently half empty and they refuse to accommodate a move to an actual table. Quote directly from the host “It’s not my problem” … enough said.

We were really hopeful for a great meal based on our server’s recommendations, the dishes we saw coming out, and the menu itself—but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The service was excellent—we were seated within a minute, and our server took our order promptly within five. However, the food lacked flavor and overall just fell flat. At this price point, we expected to be impressed, and while we don’t mind paying more for quality, the flavors simply didn’t deliver. The teriyaki salmon bowl was disappointing, the salmon was fried, the ends were burnt and there was no seasoning. The pork in the fried rice was dry and inedible. The perch was greasy and bland. Overall, the food was a major letdown, though the service was good.

Well curated menu with an oddly Korean flair. Everything was great. Service, craft cocktails, everything.
