I rarely write reviews but every now and then a place becomes a favorite and I find myself craving it and telling everyone about it. I LOVE THE OWL! I live in Saratoga Springs and find myself desperately needing an Owl at Twilight here! Instead, I’ll continue to drive the hour north because it is SO worth it and there is nothing else like it around here. I love everything about this place. First of all, the food is everything you could want and more. Delicious, fresh, artful… I have an envious array of culinary masterpieces in Saratoga steps from my door and yet I still drive an hour north for dinner and drinks at the Owl. It’s just become so special to me. The vibe is so cozy and romantic. They often have live music, they grow ingredients fresh right out back behind the patio under string lights and it’s just magical to sit on the porch. This place has held some very romantic memories for me (perfect date night spot, fellas! wink wink). The owner Mark is lovely and charming and seems to treat everyone who walks through the door as if they are old friends. All the staff has been wonderful and personable. My experience at the Owl has been nothing but consistent pleasure on all fronts and I genuinely daydream throughout my week of my next visit. I love telling people about this place as it’s a bit of a hidden gem. They truly care about their restaurant, menu, and customers. Grab your love and some friends, head out for a drive to the Owl for dinner, drinks, dessert, enjoy some live music and lighting bugs from the porch – it will be a perfect night!

We’ve been wanting to eat here for years and finally made it. We are so glad we did! We ordered take-out because we had our dog with us. The scallops appetizer was great. I liked the cauliflower appetizer a lot. My husband enjoyed the hangar steak–it was huge, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My favorite was the pork ossa bucco. The meat was so tender that it was literally falling off the bone. The sauce and garlic mashed potatoes were rich and yummy. The owner and staff were extremely friendly from when we placed our order to the time we spent there. The owner even carried our food for me to the car. The mixed fruit pie was unique and fabulous. I’m so happy there is a restaurant of this quality in the area. The decor is charming and welcoming. We’ll be back in the summer.

I’ve been to this quaint fine dining restaurant a few times now, what a gem! Mark, the owner, is a great guy; and the food and service is always consistent. I’ve been in the back screen room for dinner, you can hear the wildlife and see the garden where they get fresh veggies and herbs, place is top notch! Oh and the drinks are outstanding, true culinary creations!

The food was excellent! I had the steak and hubby had the artic char (fish) and he said it was delicious. The bread basket was also great. The owner, Mark, grows his lettuce, herbs, and other veggies in his garden on-site. The kale salad was the best I have ever had. We had homemade chocolate and vanilla ice cream too. He has live music most weekends as well. Highly recommend trying this little quaint place out in the middle of nowhere.

The food was incredibly delicious, the service was prompt, and I felt the prices were fair for the superb quality of the food.
I’d never tried scallop ceviche, and am very glad I tried something new; it was delightfully fresh, with a nice heat from the peppers. My grilled swordfish over saffron rice and steamed vegetables was perfection. My husband got the steak, and said it was cooked just right.

I was by myself and just ordered three appetizers for some variety: scallops, coconut shrimp, and calamari. All of them were exquisite and perfectly cooked. This restaurant was the best food I have had while near Saratoga Springs. Also, Andrea was a wonderful waitress.

Our party of 7 had a reservation. We waited 35 minutes for our empty table to be reset. Waited another 20 minutes for our server. At least another 10 for drinks. We didn’t walk out of there until 2.5 hours later. Most ordered the chefs pasta special. No problems with having autograt, except its 22% . No wonder our server didn’t really attend to us they were getting almost 100 no matter the service. Positive note, the food was good and the owl theme was cute.

We had our BEST meal there a couple of weeks ago! The Spicy Seafood Stew was to die for with a yummy sauce and plentiful seafood. I can’t wait to have it again! The blackened coho salmon was perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. Plus the service was perfect and we always love the ambience. The Owl really is a special place for dinner.
