Had the best margarita (with Alaska blueberries) of my life at the Overlook last week! Service was excellent, as were the views inside and out. Overall, our food was tasty, but there were a couple missteps by the kitchen – including overcooking, and steaming not grilling the “grilled halibut.” But I understand new staff needing time to get in the groove, so glad to recommend the Overlook and hope to visit again!

The 2023 is coming, so for anyone planning their trip to Denali now, do not skip over having dinner at the overlook! The food was absolutely incredible! My wife and I had dinner here, and we can’t wait to return. The service was exceptional as well. We had ordered the calamari as a starter, and it was hands down one of the best calamari dishes I’ve had. I put it against any I’ve had at top restaurants in NYC. This is a must go in Denali!!

The Overlook was amazing dinner experience while staying at Crows Nest. Fabulous server, Jan was attentive, thoughtful, and knowledgeable with great suggestions. Shared crab artichoke dip to start. Wild mushrooms very tasty, a great compliment to mashed potatoes. Alaskan King Crab was delicious with a creamy flavor. This was a first time treat and a splurge at market value. Bacon burger, halibut and chips were very good too. Baked Alaska was a delightful close to a celebratory feast!

Wow, I wasn’t expecting fine dining in a mountain town – but this is it. Delicious food with great presentation, good wine and outstanding service. Our waiter Jan was both helpful and charming, making our dining experience a delight. And the outdoor patio seating offered amazing views while keeping us cozy with a heat lamp. Would recommend and dine there again.

This restaurant should definitely be on your list of restaurants to enjoy while staying in Denali. The fresh fish (highly recommend the grilled salmon) was outstanding. We split the salmon dip (served cold) as an appetizer. Lovely selection of cocktails and wine. Patrick was outstanding to help us with a nice wine with dinner and Carol was wonderful as our server. Beautiful views of the mountains off their outside patio (as long as the weather cooperates..enjoy dinner there versus inside). A definite MUST place to enjoy a memorable meal in a beautiful Alaska destination.

Been here twice and overall, great. Jan is great! Today we ordered the salmon dip and it came with 5 ritz crackers. Clearly the dip required many crackers, like a whole tube. They wanted $3 for 5 more ritz crackers. BRING YOUR OWN CRACKERS.
