Absolutely amazing! I ordered the lamb chops which I usually avoid because I’m not a big lamb person but I decided to give them another try. I’m so glad I did! They were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I’m officially obsessed, and lamb chops from this place will be my go to order from now on!

Such a delicious meal! The hummus was excellent as a starter with warm pita to accompany it. The salads were fresh and the house dressing was amazing!! The mixed grill was a generous portion and tasty. The lamb shank was also delicious. The tea was also top notch as well as the service. Definitely worth a trip next time you are near Carson Street.

If you don’t eat at Kassab’s, you are missing out. Family owned, it is the best dinning experience I’ve had in Pittsburgh (Yes, ALL of Pittsburgh). Personally, I’ve had Arabic food from many different places, as I am a fein for it, but Kassab’s is the most authentic, flavorful, and amazing Arabic food I’ve ever tasted. From the humus, to the kibbeh, to the shawarmas, to the Baklava; the cuisine is mouth watering and superb. Its delight reaches beyond the food also, as the service is excellent, and the restaurant’s atmosphere and interior is amazing. I will for sure be going many more times. If you live in Pittsburgh or are just stopping by, Kassab’s is a MUST-go-to restaurant. Don’t miss out.

I’ve lived in southside for a while and I can’t believe I never stopped and ate here. Wonderful experience, food, and service. Our server Simon was on top of his game. My sister kept asking for more things and he didn’t miss one thing (AND he wasn’t writing it down- impressive)

This place is unbelievable with some crazy good food and even better servers. It is incredibly clean and such a cozy and beautiful space to have some food. The food was the best thing that has ever step foot into my mouth and this is the best spot in all of Pittsburgh. Highly recommend for everyone

To be honest, it was average. Maybe a little disappointing. This place is on the more expensive side when compared to other Mediterranean places, so I expected the quality to be quite high. It was not, sadly. I tried their rice pudding, meat pie, gyro sauce, and meat skewers.
The meat pie was decent. I got delivery, so the condensation from it being hot did detract from the texture. But even with that aside, it wasn’t very good. It was oddly sweet. The meat was dry and crumbly. I honestly would not recommend.
The skewers were pretty good. You can’t really go wrong with this sort of meat (actually, yes you can, if it’s under or over cooked. But it was well cooked here). A bit on the costly side for the portion, but not terrible. Came with some vegetables as well, but not much else.
I had to add the gyro sauce to get anything to dip my meat in. Nothing was included (while most places do include sauce with the meat). It’s good quality sauce. Creamy and delicious, in a small container that costs just 75 cents so not too bad.
The rice pudding was really good. It’s anything I would want in a rice pudding: creamy, lightly sweet, and a good portion. You can still feel the rice kernels; it’s well cooked with a good texture. And the price wasn’t bad either. I would say this best menu item that I tried.
All in all, I was somewhat disappointed with Kassabs. I was thinking of bringing guests into the restaurant, but after the experience, I’m probably not going to. It’s not bad but just underwhelming. Better places in Pittsburgh for Middle Eastern food. If you do come, get rice pudding as a dessert and load up on sauce.

This place offers authentic Lebanese food, from mezza/dips to salads to grilled meat and sandwiches. I tried fattouch salad, vegetarian stuffed grape leaves, and kafta kebab with mjadra. I liked all of them, but I wish the kafta was made with Lebanese 7 spices, and the fattoush didn’t have parsley roots. The stuffed grape leaves hit a sweet spot. Make sure you squeeze lemon and add some salt to them. They were served warm. Overall, this was a solid meal.
