The second time we have been here. The breakfast burger is so amazing. We opt for fruit instead of the fries. We tried to the Greek yogurt jar. Phenomenal!! Service is always amazing. The waitress on Sunday is so friendly.

Cute spot right off Ocean View Ave! The weather was perfect, so we grabbed a table outside. Our server was not only super friendly and helpful with the menu, but she also shared some great local tips. Turns out she’s the yoga instructor in the building next door, too.
The star of the night? The Lumpia Pickled Pepper Poppers. Crispy, creamy, and just the right amount of spicy, absolutely delicious! We also noticed the outdoor dining area seemed dog-friendly, which is always a plus.
We had a great people-watching perch and loved seeing the mix of folks who came through. The diversity of the crowd added to the warm, welcoming vibe. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

The seasoning on the fried pickles was awesome, just not as crunchy as it appears. No bad just a preference.
The Surf & Turf was excellent absolutely impressed with the flavor of the burger.
Now the reason for the stars. We ordered drinks, shortly after deliberation we ordered the appetizer with the main meals. Even with this time, the appetizer still made it to the table first. More than 15 mins. The waitress did apologize, so it not so bad, but considering it was not busy, you could expect longer delays.

We have been going to OV Tavern on Sundays for brunch and football and HIGHLY recommend it! Such a fun, neighborhood bar & grill. They have a weekly “hype man” I guess you’d call him. He does contests and NFL trivia while watching the games. The food is great, they have a great brunch menu they serve Sundays til 1, but the standard menu is great too. Our server Loni is phenomenal and we try to sit where she can serve us every week. Can’t say enough positive things about OV Tavern. From food to service to football, they hit on all of it!

Update 8/2/25: I said I would be back so here goes, the food was still ok, no real complaints. On the other hand, the lemonade and tea have to be made with tap water or unclean glasses because they had a funny taste so order soda. Waited a while for a server that must have forgotten us after the drinks came and a second server took the food order. The lady beside me didn’t get her tater tots until she was almost finished with her burger. I’m seeing why it wasn’t crowded on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism but unfortunately I’m changing my stars. No fried pickles until after brunch

We decided to walk on over to a neighborhood spot and try the OV beach tavern. We brought our dog along and found seating in the outdoor patio. The chairs and tables were a little wobbly but manageable. Our server was kind and attentive, making sure to recommend the must have foods. There was live music being played inside that we could slightly hear. We wish they would have opened the large garage doors to the patio so that we could fully enjoy the music. Our food came out quickly and was cooked to order. My burger was delicious but I wish the tots had a little more seasoning. There are free table games that you can use while hanging out, which was pretty fun and made the wait time nonexistent. Fun local hangout spot that we will be frequenting!

It has taken 15 minutes to get a coors light. I recommend you run away from this place. Service is not great. Food is about on par with the sub par service. Definitely left a lasting impression of forgettable.

I had high hopes for Ocean View Beach Tavern, but unfortunately, my experience was incredibly disappointing. The food was terrible—starting with the burger, which tasted like it had been reheated rather than freshly cooked. The tomatoes were particularly unappetizing; they seemed microwaved, as they were slimy with the skins sloughing off. It was honestly difficult to enjoy any part of the meal.
The service was just as bad. Our waitress barely came to the table, and when she did, she seemed forgetful and disinterested, despite there only being three tables of customers. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this place if you’re looking for a decent meal or good service.

Everything was delicious! The lumpia jalapeño poppers were awesome. All of the food we got was delicious. They make all their pickled food items in house! Atmosphere was fun and we had great service from Lindsay! Definitely check it out.

Over-priced, under-served and portions, heavy drink prices with ice to the rim. The chicken finger Cobb salad was all dark meat and not “eatable” in my opinion. That left me with a small amount of spring lettuce, old eggs and 1 tomato slice. No bacon or crumbled cheese…just a little shredded cheddar. The dressing was a creamy balsamic and went right in the trash. Cereal for dinner tonight. If you are at the bar and want to smoke in there outside area; you can’t, lol. Must go out front door and “around corner” according to unfriendly female bartender on a Sunday night with barely any customers there and none in Their “outside area!” Sorry, but never again.
