A bar with an excellent no frills atmosphere filled with friendly locals. If you’re lucky Pat will regale you with her knowledge of the town & county while you wet your whistle, & if you’re even luckier Brian will be there, too. Looking forward to my next visit!

A former local friend told her California friend to enjoy the coolest neighborhood “dive bar” here in Ely. Obviously we we not locals: 1 Californian, 1 Australian, and 1 Canadian) soon as walked in,we felt right at home and had a Blast !

The Outpost is one of my favorite places. There is a very welcoming and drama free atmosphere among locals and staff. The owners are fantastic!!! The drinks are very reasonably priced and they’re always stocked. There is always fun drink specials. And don’t forget pool Friday!!! Definitely check out the Outpost when you get a chance.

We went here for the first time on NYE and it was such a good vibe. The new owners have really spruced up the place and they are wonderful people! They don’t allow smoking or vaping inside, although strange for a Nevada bar, it is actually a nice change to not smell smoke while I’m drinking and having a good time.

This bar has a great small town, homey feel. It’s easy to get along with whoever happens to be there. The owner is great and personable. Come as you are, no need to get dolled up or put on a facade. Music selection is very decent. They have a pool table and a cozy fireplace. The memorabilia is great. There is no need to be stuck up or PC here.

Stopped for a meal. No menu, however, they were serving corned beef and cabbage and it was free! Great small town vibe and very friendly staff and towns people!!
