…It all began at THE HIVE. Experiments gone wrong. Things that shouldn’t have been discovered…mistakes made…or was something sinister happening? Our world as we now know it is in complete chaos. Nothing is certain. Everything has changed and nothing feels safe. While we search for THE ANTIDOTE, we welcome all those seeking refuge to join us at THE OUTBREAK. We will provide food, drinks, shelter, and companionship. You are not alone. There is hope…

Reviews
The space itself is spotless, unique, and totally up my alley. Despite the apocalyptic theme, the atmosphere is warm, casual, and welcoming, with a fun cocktail menu to match. Our bartender was super friendly and made us feel right at home.
Drinks:
We tried the Yuzu Sour (honey liqueur, melon, yuzu lemonade purée, and sour soda) and the London Fog White Russian (vanilla vodka, Kahlúa, chilled Earl Grey tea, and cream). The Yuzu Sour definitely lives up to its name — tart but tasty! — and the White Russian was absolutely delicious.
Food:
We ordered the vegetable shiitake potstickers and Tochi. The food came out quickly and looked picture-perfect. I only tried the potstickers, but they were so good I could’ve easily ordered four more plates.
Dessert:
We grabbed slices of green tea cheesecake and raspberry cheesecake to go — both a-m-a-z-i-n-g!
The Outbreak was the perfect ending to our Main Street crawl. Great food, creative drinks, and a fantastic vibe. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back if ever in West Bend again.
My husband discovered the Ecto Cooler on tap and is now completely obsessed. Since we live over an hour away, we were thrilled to find cans at Jeff’s Spirits on Main so we could bring some home with us.
Although we didn’t try the food this visit, everything we saw and smelled looked incredible. It definitely gives us another reason to come back
When we entered it was quiet, with a few people at the bar, and a couple tables with diners. Got served right away, we ordered a cocktail and beer. Our server recommended the special Hanzo Hasashi which was excellent.
Got a couple of orders of steamed buns, one Spam (love me some Spam) and the other Pork Belly. Both were fresh and flavorful. Got the Grass Fed Beef Mazeman. The flavors were amazing! Loved the smoked bone marrow butter. However the piece of beef in mind was tough and grizzled.
The atmosphere was chill and relaxed until halfway through our meal, a bunch of older men came into the bar, and were making a raucous, talking very loud, with plenty of profanity. Clearly having their idea of a good time.
We loved much of the experience, and would recommend it, but with some reservation.
I had the tonkatsu and the broth was silky, delicious, and so robust. The shoyu broth of the braised beef using was amazing.
Be sure to also try the miso eggs, superb.
Can’t wait to try again
