First time patron. Ordered the fishermans platter. Enough food that my wife and I shared and still had leftovers. Platter comes with Fried haddock, fried shrimp, fried scallops, fried clam bellies, French fries and fried onion rings. Don’t get me wrong food was good but it all kinda tasted the same? FYI, if you use a credit card they do let you know up front it’s a 2.9 % upcharge. Limited parking and seating, but great as a take out meal.

We stopped to eat a quick bite after a long drive. They were about to close but gave us great service nonetheless. Food was good. Chodwer, lobster roll, crab cakes. Recommended!

Update- I originally posted that although the lobster roll was amazing they changed the onion rings but I think that was just a blip- my daughter ordered the other day and the amazing onion rings were back! They must’ve just ran out so I’m changing my review.

Lobster roll is amazing but what the hell happened to the onion rings??? Those were some of the best and now they are awful. No crunch and not nice and flaky like the old ones were. I guess it’s a cost cutting measure but really disappointing.

Really classic Cape place! It looks a bit stuck in time aesthetic wise but that’s sort of charming and that’s fine because the seafood is great. We ordered the $40 fisherman’s platter and it is massive. Plenty for 2 people and we eat a lot haha. We didn’t even finish it. The seafood is fresh and really crispy. I like the type of onion rings they have too since they don’t have a ton of that thick batter on them it’s more like a nice light coating of some sort of flour maybe? Fries are good too! Everything had a right amount of salt and they give you a LOT of tartar sauce.

This place is the real deal! It’s the original location and recipe for fried seafood on the Cape, so this is a must try! Plus, for anyone with a shellfish or gluten allergy, please notify the staff and they will safely navigate the menu with you! I have celiac’s disease and I more than enjoyed the grilled swordfish, sweet potato fries and cole slaw. They have a dedicated fryer for their french fries plus gluten free chicken tenders too. Again, this is a must try! All the traditional favorites plus accommodations for everyone. Check it out!

When Chekhov saw the long winter, he saw a winter bleak and dark and bereft of hope. I now know what he meant. I tasted it today in the form of a one-pound lobster roll slathered in nothing but mayonnaise, served from a fried food shack that has been a fixture in Dennisport for decades as “The Original Seafood Restaurant”.
There’s a special kind of sadness that comes with expectation. You hear “lobster roll” and your mind conjures something light, maybe kissed by lemon, perhaps buttered delicately, maybe even a toasted bun that holds its dignity. But what I received was something else entirely—a cold, glistening heap of lobster meat, pale and drowning in what can only be described as a mayo avalanche absence of any flavor.
No seasoning. No crunch. No relief. Just chilled, chewy lumps of lobster, thickly entombed in a white tide of Hellmann’s (I assume—it had that tang of industrial efficiency). The roll itself, likely once a hot dog bun in better days, collapsed under the weight like a lifeboat taking on water.
Every bite was the same: damp, soft, oddly sour. It was like eating a seafood-flavored sadness. There was no acidity to cut the fat, no spice to distract, just the slow, heavy march of one pound of crustacean smothered in mayonnaise toward my stomach and soul.
And yet—I finished it. Not out of pleasure, but out of duty to justify the hefty $72 cost. Because if Chekhov taught us anything, it’s that bleakness has its own strange pull. I stared into that mayo abyss and felt it stare back.

The Original Seafood Restaurant took us back to our childhood when drive in restaurants were popular. At this location one my dine in or outside. The food is cooked to order and hot. We especially liked the fries which were hot and crispy.

Fish so fresh you could smack it! Got chowdah! If you’re on Cape Cod and you want fresh seafood fried broiled. This is the place to go. If you don’t like fish or seafood they have the best burger on the Cape. Bring the family and order the seafood frenzy nobody will be left hungry! Not to mention the shakes are thick and creamy and delicious. Do not pass this place up

Fresh and delicious seafood with reasonable prices and quick service. The fried seafood isn’t heavy and the portions are reasonable. They also offer non-fried options and the grilled salmon was flavorful and delicious. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available and they will call your number when the food is ready. A great stop for seafood on the Cape.

Delicious fried seafood, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. Also, plenty of parking and seating. We took a bit of a detour off the road on our way to Provincetown because we like to try different local options on our way to our annual summer Cape Visit. While this isn’t top on our list, we would certainly return here if in the area.
