This place is awesome. The service is great, greeted and seated right away. Our waitress took our drink order and appetizer right away. Wasn’t rushed to order. Our food was great. Their seafood never disappoints. I had the snapper and my husband had the chicken fried steak. It was delicious!

Loved everything about this place! My grandpa used to take my mom here when she was younger! Was nice to see it for myself! Delicious food!! We got a box car burger, fish tacos, and crawfish étouffée! 10/10! Burger was so juicy and tender same with the fish! Everything was amazing! Will definitely come back here next time I’m in the area! The owner and staff are unbelievably sweet!

I ordered 2 pounds of fried shrimp and 1 pound of fried catfish for a to go order On 01/09/2026. I ordered the food on railroad station seafood website to be picked up At 4:45. At 4:12 I got a text saying my order was ready. I called them and told them that my order was not to be picked up until 445, they said yes, they had made a mistake and that they would remake the order later. When I got there, my order was sitting in opened up containers under the heat light. They closed it up, sacked it up and I left. The food was awful. The shrimp was tough and rubbery. I had ordered an order of onion rings to be cooked extra crispy. They were not crispy at all, but very dark. The only thing that was good was the catfish. I don’t think my order was re-cooked, I think they just gave me what they had cooked already. It’s very sad. I know that that was an expensive mistake, but now they have lost my Business, so in the long run, it’s going to cost them anyway.

Shrimp, Shrimp and more Shrimp!!
I had the pleasure of visiting the original Railroad Seafood Station during a visit to the Corpus Cristi area earlier this year. I was visiting friends at the new SDI Construction site just down the highway and I was invited to go for lunch with them. They asked me if I liked shrimp and of course, I said yes!!!
When we got there I noticed the restaurant had a country-style feel to it, with post and beam decor and wooden tables and chairs. I watched as servers brought out massive platters of shrimp done in many ways. Once we were seated I let the gang order and we decided on a couple of family-sized salads, a large serving of jumbo onion rings and three platters of shrimp.
The platters we ordered were Blackened, Coconut and Fried Shrimp. Not one of them disappointed us. Every piece of shrimp on every platter was fresh, plump and juicy. The blackened shrimp had a nice kick to them without having to need 3 gallons of water to be able to eat them. Spiced just right, they had a good and even level of spice which made them very easy to eat. The hand-battered coconut shrimp were very appetizing as well. Cooked to a golden colour and crispy with freshly grated pieces of coconut these shrimp very amazing. I was very surprised when I tried the fried shrimp as they were lightly coated and not greasy in any way, crunchy yes, greasy no, these were very well prepared shrimp.
The food was very good, the service was great and we got our food fairly quickly so that lunch didn’t take forever. I do recommend this place, and my only regret was that I wasn’t able to try some other dishes and beers from the brewery.

This place is a must stop!! The food is amazing and the staff was very attentive. Our server was Kirsten and she did a great job!! We got the sampler appetizer with the fried mushrooms, calamari and the crab puppies. The mushrooms were absolutely good, crab puppies were great but the calamari were cooked perfectly they were some of the best calamari that I’ve had in a very long time. Our dishes were the Snapper Pontchartrain, Shrimp & Catfish plate and we also got a 1/2 pound of fried shrimp. All the food tasted great and was cooked perfect.

We stopped by on our way to Groves, Tx. I ordered the Cajun chicken Alfredo, and the husband ordered the shrimp and catfish plate. The chicken tasted fresh, and the Alfredo sauce had a slight kick, which was most excellent. The catfish was blackened just right and had no fishy taste. The hobo potatoes were a mix of russet potatoes and sweet potatoes. I don’t like sweet potatoes. However, these fries were really good, not greasy at all. Their brocolli slaw was a perfect mix, and the cranberries were most definitely a plus. The rice pilaf and the greenbeans, however, were a bit on the greasy side but good none the less. The wooden floors were a bit sticky that my shoe would come off when walking. Lol. That was one of the only complaints about the establishment. The service was excellent. We were greeted with a smile, and our waitress was attentive. We will most definitely stop by on our way out of town and back. This was a pleasant surprise.

We were recommended this restaurant by the guy that loaded us at our pick up at Herc rentals in Corpus Christi. We are truck drivers and like to find local spots when we are on the road. There was plenty of room to park out of the way.
First off the server was SOOOO friendly and attentive. Can’t believe I forgot her name, I meant to post this sooner. She bumped this trip to 5 stars even though we were disappointed by the onion rings. Perhaps the oil wasn’t hot enough, she let the kitchen know they weren’t up to par. Also the sprite was on point with syrup and carbonation (I know that’s a silly thing to point out, but it really hit the spot lol, she said one of the kitchen guys had fixed it when he came in that day)
The fish and sides were fantastic though, and my husband enjoyed the crab cake. The chili carrots were surprisingly good and even better the next day after they accidentally got mixed up with the broccoli slaw.
