A perfect 7am stop to start my day— I grace the apple fritter and a small coffee and didn’t feel taken advantage of in either price or quality. I tasted the freshness of the pastry, and it was described precisely to how it tasted and was textured: crispy with a soft inside finish, and might I as well balanced in sweetness—not overwhelming with the apple flavor or the glaze atop. The coffee was hot and fresh, and with a splash of Italian sweet cream and a teaspoon of sugar, created the perfect beverage companion for this morning bite. Solid shop with smiling faces.

The lady running the counter (I believe she’s the owner) was understaffed, but she did a great job of being polite and efficient with getting orders out the door. I’ve seen others shut down in similar situations but not this lady! She kept moving and managed the situation very professionally. Customer service alone would bring me back, but the donuts are about the best I’ve had.

Me and my hubby cheated on our usual donut chain place today ! We always pass this place and finally got to try the bear claw, the regular glaze , and the cinnamon roll!!!! THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!!!! The coffee was great!!!! The breakfast burrito with eggs cheese sausage and bacon and ….made hot and ready!!!! The sauce on the side was good and fiery like I love!!!!!WILL BE BACK VERY SOON WITH MY KIDS! The staff there is friendly and very hospitable ❤️

The sausage egg and cheese crossiant was so good!!! The sausage was seasoned with perfect taste, crossiant was flaky and perfect texture and egg and cheese complimented it so well!I tried it plain with no jelly and it was delicious then I added grape jelly and it was even better! I want to try the burrito next but this was my first time trying Ray’s. My boyfriend also got doughnuts to go and they were good as well. I heated up the chocolate glaze but liked it better room temperature, overall definitely recommend and going back! The plain glazed were delicious as well.

Best donuts in Atlanta for sure and at least as good as the best donuts I’ve had in Chicago, LA, and New York. The breakfast bagel sandwiches are incredible as well. Really friendly staff that remember my name after only a couple of visits.
Don’t miss the cinnamon sugar twist, apple fritter, or buttermilk donuts, along with their classic plain glazed.
It is worth going way out of the way for Rays.
Update: Long-term customer now and still absolutely love Rays. I’d eat their donuts unfrosted and unglazed.
